The choice to make him a moron was done so well. While funny, it could have easily made him less threatening, but they made his incompetence so that it was also dangerous. Half the time his schemes end up causing him harm as well, but its still up to Scrooge and the gang to save the day.

Correction: Glomgold is like that one kid who spills HIS OWN MILK on the canteen floor to trip the bully, only causes the bully to slip precariously before regaining his footing, then loudly announcing to the world how genius is plan is, right before the bully punches his lights out.

Any episode with him was automatically A-tier, whether he was actually a convincing threat or just a laughable joke

I recently just finished rewatched this series. Without fail, Everytime Glomgold showed up. Instantly had a smile on my face.

"AND JUMP BLINDLY INTO THE LAVAAAAA" has me dying! Glomgold is ICONIC 3:19 THIS WHOLE INTRO SEQUENCE. I watched the episode and just got this feeling of pure "what in God's name is this?!" while laughing uncontrollably 5:25 Whoa, I was NOT expecting this, but it was awesome so I'm glad you put it in there 6:29 Ok. In all seriousness, The 87 Cent Solution was arguably Glomgold's finest hour - or finest 22 minutes, anyway. It was the only time one of his schemes to beat Scrooge even came close to actually working. And the dance to All I Do Is Win had me DEAD Great video!

Can we talk about a how this entire shit is so underrated, but I feel like everybody always talks about how great gravity Falls in our houses, which they totally are. I just wish the show got more recognition.

​@TheFansOfFiction Season 3 in general was unfocused, opened up a lot of possible plot threads and worldbuilding knowing it wasn't going to go anywhere, and FOWL didn't have the presence or intimidation factor of Magica or Lunaris, especially Bradford, he's one of the worst characters in the show.

@@gracekim25 Webby's reveal was unnecessary and completely out of the blue, which is poor form for any big reveal, especially in a finale. As a general rule, it is a bad idea to introduce new characters, like April and June, in series finale. The whole episode was nothing but shameless fan service, which is fine if there is substance but there really wasn't. Most of it was based on information we learned in the finale, or in a very few episodes directly before it, instead of wrapping up loose arcs from throughout the series. We didn't spend enough time developing the FOWL as a threat for the characters prior to the finale. I'm honestly not sure that anyone but Scrooge and the audience even knew they existed before the last few episodes, much less that they were working everything behind the scenes. And even Scrooge didn't realize they were a major threat. I'm not saying they were a bad final boss, just that they should have been established more. Even that annoying kid who hated Louie was a more established villain than FOWL. The moral doesn't relaaly make sense. What does "family is the greatest adventire of all" really mean? This isn't a fatal flaw; it's cute enough, but the rest of the plot wasn't solid enough to hold it up. Despite the fan service, lot of major characters that the audience cares about were left out completely; including some with unresolved arcs. Objectively, Moonvasion was a better finally. It included most of our favorite characters, including the villains, in major roles, fought an established and frightening threat that the characters had an emotional investment in, was an epic spectacle with actual build up, wrapped up several loose arcs, gave the fans a lot of moments they wanted to see (Glomgold and Scrooge working together, the Dela & Donald reunion, Della learning to trust Louie, ect.), and didn't try to bring up new lore that couldn't be expounded upon. I am glad we didn't end on Moonvasion, because there were still many unresolved arcs and it would have been a tragedy if we didn't see Della and Donald working together more, but artistically it was better. The Finale wasn't a bad episode (thoguh I have major gripes with Webby's reveal on all fronts), but it was a bad finale.

@@quinnholleman1547 FOWL had potential. The main problem was revealing their power to the audience, but not the characters. I'm not sure even Scrooge realized they were an actual threat until the finale, and he used to be a counteragent to them. We knew they were dangerous, but the characters had no emotional stake in the fight. The Webby reveal never should have happened.

My favorite Flintheart comic book story is Happy Birthday, Flintheart Glomgold. Where it's established that he has a nephew of his own, Slackjaw Snorehead. Slackjaw comes off as a typical lazy college student, who Flintheart forces to work for him at menial jobs like running an ice cream cart and a shoe shining stand (one comical exchange is between him and a man in a suit who wants a shoe shine, and when Slackjaw remarks that the man should just wear sneakers, the man walks away saying "Snea-... I will not stand here and be insulted!").

I love that the method to defeating lunaris wasn’t a well thought out plan. But rather a scheme so crazy, it made lunaris have an aneurism trying to find deeper meaning in something glomgold made with silly string and prayers.
