Flight Series: Kelowna to Vancouver Intl!
Hi guys, welcome back! Here's an edit of a flight I did a few weeks ago! We departed runway 34 in Kelowna, BC & landed runway 08L in Vancouver. The clouds weren't totally in our favour that morning, but I hope you guys still like it!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some things to note: for time purposes, numerous portions have been fast forwarded & I did not include every single ATC communication or the audio for checklists we performed, but it still gives you guys a little idea of what goes on in the flight deck!

I have such mad respect for people who can juggle all this. It's comforting to see such professionalism.
Even though she a Captain now, let’s just focus on her accomplishments to being a Pilot and all her hard work to get there. Yes, she’s beautiful, but she’s putting in the work and that deserves our most attention.

The secret to enjoy a good flight (as a passenger) is to have a few drinks before... let the muscles relax a bit, put on some good tunes and look out the window... :) Let the world pass by underneath you...

See my first (and only) flight so far, I was looking out the window nearly the entire time. I think I was in an A319-100. I was nervous at first since it was my first ever time flying in any type of aircraft. We flew for about 4 hours from SFB to SHV. It was pretty exciting, but the entire time I was thinking about every possible thing that could go wrong lol
That was the smoothest landing I've ever seen in a vlog! Nice flying.
That was so cool! Thanx 4 sharing
Showed this to my 10 year old daughter. Her dream is to be a pilot. Thanks for the inspiration for her.

On my word, the woman is a pilot....lol. It would seem all the attention is on her appearance and not any specific skills or any of her flight experience. Come on folks let’s support her in a positive way. How long did that flight take to get off the ground, curious? Great job Emile...stay safe crew🙏🏻❤️

I have a fear of flying but I love watching these videos. Emilie has the clearest voice of any pilot video I've watched. Hope I get to fly soon with a pilot like this.
Women in aviation, always a joy to see just how positive this message is to all young females around the world. With patience, determination and drive (or rather fly in this instance) you can accomplish anything.
That has to be the prettiest pilot iv ever seen......
Ya girl....you go girl...love it, role model..need more of you..🤗💙
So cool and also terrifying to see just how these jets are flown. It's just people in there!
A TRUE PROFESSIONAL!! YOU DO YOUR JOB WITH PRIDE !! 👏👏👏👍👍👍👌👌👌
Really cool to see the cockpit's perspective of a passenger jet. Thanks for sharing.

It's a beautiful De Havilland Dash 8 turboprop and I love this aircraft :)
That moment when you waved goodbye at the plane in front of you with that smile. i melted
God, it's got to be one of the greatest feelings in the world when you push the throttles up and feel that power surge. I mean, I drive a Focus RS and I giggle every time I punch it, I can't imagine what a jet feels like.
Loved this video! BC is such a cool place

Awesome! Thank you for sharing it with us. Quirky fact: I found myself concentrating on your eyes during takeoff and landing. I find it interesting to watch how your area of concentration changes at different points of each process.
I have a terrible fear of flying ( irrational, I know). But I love these aviation videos. I guess the more I see what's going in the cockpit, the less afraid someday I'll of flying.
Beautiful landing... greased it in.. hope things get back to normal for you soon. All the best from the UK 👍
Wow, that’s properly the longes taxiing I have ever seen. Great video 👍🏻

what a perfect job, flying everywhere and seing all beautiful places around the world. big respect for all the pilot 👩✈️ 👨✈️
Thanks for letting us tag along on a flight. I enjoyed it very much. I have repaired and/or helped build aircraft for the last 35+ years, and have flown in planes a few times. But it was the first time I had a birds eye view on the flight deck.
This is so cool! I can't even count how many times I've made that flight. Reminds me of when I was just a wee lad and the flight attendant invited me up to look in the cockpit to say "hi" to the pilots (obviously more than a few years ago). Thanks :)
My favorite part is that you waved to the workers. That is very sweet. :) It is so awesome to see a woman flying! Represent!
I have flown this stretch so often, good to see the cockpit it still as calm, cool and collective as usual - nice approach and landing.
Never get tired enough of watching these
Hooray for all local and international flights out of Kelowna Airport!!
This video is soo amazing. Thank you for sharing and keep it up. 😃🙌🏻🙌🏻🔥 Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Interesting to see the differences from 737, there the pilot flying has one hand on the throttle until V1, but you guys have the pilot monitoring being ready on the throttle. So video idea; why you do it like that ;) and the nature over there is almost as nice as here in Norway :)
@Pilotemilie

For our SOPs it's actually the CA, not the PM that has their hand close to the throttles. So when the CA is the PF, they also have their hand there. It's different for every company!
Amazing video! I lived for 6 months in Kelowna in 2018 and I flew many times YLW-YVR-YLW. I'm from Brazil and I'm a private pilot here. You added all the Communications and Charts in your video and this is awesome! Great content! Thank you!

Hi Emilie! One of my most favourite route (in Flight Sim. with Learjet 45) is: Regina (CYQR) - Calgary (CYYC) - Kelowna (CYLW)- Vancouver (CYVR). It was wery nice for me sighting a part of my trip, in real life! :) But I always landing on 8R, and i make less taxiing on the ground ;)
Omg that was so empowering to watch it just goes to show what can be achieved if you just put your mind to things but it is the sights and ambiance that has me drawn to these videos.
Love your friendliness and waves to the other pilots! 🖐️ 😊
Seems as if about 1/3 of you all couldn’t care less about her flying skills. As if? Congratulations on your success in aviation, Emilie, and here’s to clear skies and tailwinds always.
She is so beautiful ❤️ Good bless you
Wonderful to watch (I'm so envious!). Well done and all the best to you in your career.
now i would say that ur a prettiest pilot i have evaa seen in a entire life..God bless u
Really smooth landing.
Just came from your MSFS 2020 video! I’m enjoying the content! I subbed :))
Thanks for the ride...You love flying and what a treat to be taken along with the amazing view from the cockpit..This actually relaxed me and helped me to sleep
The fact that you are still responding to comments even after ten months is truly wonderful. Also that was some butter smooth action going on with the landing. Hopefully we get to see more smooth and awesome landings!

I dreamed of becoming a pilot when I was a little boy. Now I find it impossible to achieve due to financial problems. I see becoming a pilot is an expensive thing, now I am taking a different path ahead and become a Software Engineer, its painful but I'll get through. I am now taking my first day as a freshman in August 24. Every time I see a pilot videos or any airplane videos, it just breaks my heart. Its just depression seeing my long time diehard dream wont come true. Edit: You have earned a new subscriber :)
That's awesome. I've flown in and out of both of those airports, nice to see it from the pilots view.
Awesome and hypnotic video - I'm a huge aviation buff (and paraglider pilot - learning powered flight is just too expensive here in Japan), and just love this kind of abbreviated, no commentary, nice relaxing background music flight video. Glad this ended up in my recommended list, thank you for the video!
Love this video. Every detail is important when flying a plane. Your great Emilie. Hello , from New Jersey, U.S.A. Thanks for video !
Hey guys...Yes, she's pretty, but pay more attention to her flying and her obvious smarts. She made Captain...fast...for a reason. She is every Captain's dream as an FO and will be every FO's dream as Captain.

Thank you for sharing from your perspective Emilie! I really enjoy your videos and hopefully soon I'll start on my PPL. As a fellow Canadian it's interesting seeing you fly in and out of airports I've been to and your perspective of it. 😊 I hope after COVID your get.back in the air soon!
I love the sheer professionalism in these videos, keep it up cool person
She nailed that landing, awesome!
I like the Dash 8. I was once allowed to fly a helicopter in Penticton in the mountains for almost 4 weeks. It was brilliant! I envy you for the fact that you can fly permanently in this beautiful scenery!
This video so rocked! I wish I found your channel sooner! Thank you for doing these videos!
Very cool! Very professional- nice landing! ...you will attract many trolls and idiots unfortunately.... please don’t feed them 🙂...their pathetic selves will move along when ignored. 👍
I’ve done this route a few times! The views are pretty spectacular 😁
Thank you, Emilie! I have enjoyed your flight! A soft landing for you always!
Fun flight! Always fun when you can see around without clouds, but still fun to watch the flight itself.
Very professional and well flown!
I think my daughter would be very inspired and motivated to see you piloting if I can ever get her away from blackpink KPop. Thanks Emilie.
Love the FS2020 input Emilie keep sharing your knowledge Thanks.

Great video. Nice to see it from beginning to end. Smooth Landing too very impressive. Subbed
Very beautiful pilot Emilieee
Great video, thank you for sharing.
World's most beautiful co-pilot. Awesome !
Wooow what a smooth landing!
Its pretty disgusting the amount of comments that are solely about her looks. Do you all think she's going to respond and fall in love with you? Let's celebrate how she's a badass female pilot and we need a lot more of them! Also, this is a tough flight. My ex was a pilot and crashed on this flight.

Thanks so much Emilie for this video, I miss working there. I hope to get back again soon after this pandemic. I miss guiding and working alongside the aircrafts. Hope to see more videos. 👍

As as web developer, I hate that I didn't look into being a pilot before. For the last year or so I've been trying to learn more and more about flying in my spare time. I don't know if I'll take a step at least get my PPL, but watching these videos and reading about flying excites me and I thank people like you that show us what it's like. Thank you Emilie!
