That is exactly how I felt when my sister called me to tell me my brother killed himself. I thought I would die right then. Like I was a ghost and I could see myself standing there in silence and rage at the same time. The worst loss of my life was when I got this call. No one who has not lost someone close due to suicide could NEVER really understand the gravity of it at that moment, in the months, in the years that pass. You move on and can slowly breathe again but you are forever changed. The sky certainly fell that day.

This song is exactly what I need to inspire my book; a man who has the heart of an angel gives his life to save people and dies doing so, but he is not human and his kind are drawn to humans who are like land sirens. He dies to help save one of these people after being enchanted by her. God, I love this.

I think the future covered in roses means her grave waves of gold means fire ı cannot reach you means she can see but cannot touch like a soul the door closes, the other side and the angel mean that she already knows that she died. So, in my opinion, this song is about some who is burning with flames. He/she can hear sirens of the ambulance but she knows that she will die

For some reason this reminds me of civilians in wartime. Like a child describing what they see and hear. "Before the sky fell" could be bombs, the 'sparrows' could be the planes that dropped them. "Hey are you listening? I cannot reach you." Maybe the child is in a coma watching their parents, "I'm on the other side trying to break through" , which would make sense that the child is on the bridge of death since they saw an angel in the first line. just my opinion :}
