Christine McVie never gets enough credit, especially with reactors. She's fantastic. Her live singing especially on songs like Songbird can bring you to tears. Anyone who saw FM live back in the day can attest, when she plays Songbird you could look around the audience and see grown men in tears. Most of the reaction channels don't even do any of her songs. She has some great ones. She's just as great as Stevie Nicks but in a different way.

And she's been around the band from the very beginning. She was playing piano and doing background vocals, albeit uncredited, as early as Fleetwood Mac's 2nd album. I think that she was still officially in Chicken Shack at the time so that may be why she was treated like a session musician for that albuLm. She'd be a full fledged member not long after, though.

Fleetwood Mac was blessed to have had two of the most amazing and iconic female voices in popular music. As well as some pretty good male lead vocalists, it should be mentioned 💯🤘. There are three different iterations of Fleetwood Mac that are worth comparison. The first one might surprise you: 1) The original version fronted by guitarist, songwriter and singer Peter Green. This is the version I was introduced to at a club in Glasgow, Scotland in 1969. There are two songs from this era that you should check out. First and foremost, "Black Magic Woman". Yep, the one Santana covered. It was actually written by Peter Green and recorded by Fleetwood Mac a year or so before Santana's definitive rendition was released. Whilst Santana's version is by far the better known, and arguably just plain better, it is still worth the time to listen to the original version of the song. The other one from the Peter Green era is "The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown)". This one would be covered brilliantly by Judas Priest but the original Fleetwood Mac version is definitely worth a listen. 2) The Bob Welsh years. Between the Peter Green era and the Buckingham/Nick's era there was the Bob Welsh period. The only song that really stands out from that time is "Hypnotized". 3) The Buckingham/Nicks era. This is by far the best known version. You are already familiar with the voices of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie so let me suggest something with Lindsey Buckingham on lead vocals. "Monday Morning" "Second Hand News" "Go Your Own Way" Tioraidh an-drasta 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✌️

It's really surprising that you've gone this long without hearing a single by Christine. She wrote and sang lead on about 1/3 of their songs and some of their biggest hits. She's also the keyboardist/pianist. She was married to the bassist, John McVie, but was singing about someone else in this song. All kinds of drama was going with these guys alluring this album.

This is one of my 3 favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. The singer here is Christine McVie, not Stevie Nicks, that's probably why you said it sounded different. Her voice, the drums and guitar work are all fantastic. She also sings Little Lies, As Long as You Follow, and several other songs that became hits for Fleetwood Mac. You definitely need to check out more of her songs.

@@christianhansen3292 Just Stevie and that depends what day it is. If Mick hadn't folded so quickly to her "him or me" ultimatum she probably would have changed her mind the next month. On her current tour she can't shut up about Lindsey and Buckingham Nicks. Last week she referred to him as "Our friend Lindsey". 😯 Meanwhile, Chris says she "loves" Lindsey and he's "the best" and Mick that old charlatan made a birthday video for him last month and says he can't wait to play with him again (yeah - because he's the only one still creating new music and the McVies don't want to tour again). Considering Lindsey sued them for $14m and reportedly got most of it, I'm actually shocked at Mick and Chris. They supposedly blackballed poor Bob Welsh from the FM Hall Of Fame induction for far far less money.

The genius in this song is the production/arrangement. You have a set of chords and melody, so what do you do with them? The choices made here are so creative.

Christine McVie has a fabulous voice. She sang lead on several Fleetwood Mac hits, including this song, Don't Stop, Say You Love Me, Oh Daddy, Songbird, Little Lies, and more. She also wrote several Fleetwood Mac hits. She joined the band 5 years before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks did. Yes, Stevie was a powerhouse, but Christine held her own very well. I recommend reacting to Songbird next.

Yesssss!! Perfect timing y'all to get back into Fleetwood Mac. 🔥 This is Christine McVie on lead vocals and the bands keyboardist & John McVie's Wife (bassist)- she's the 3rd lyricist in the band other than Stevie and Lindsey but is the original main lyricist before they joined. You two have to react to more songs from "Tango in the Night" album as well which is the same album that includes Big Love & Little Lies! That one has so many 80s hidden and underrated gems like -Everywhere (another Christine McVie HIT) -Seven Wonders -Caroline -Family Man -Isn't it Midnight -Mystified ~ 🥰 Personally, I love Tango in the Night > Rumours but to each their own~ can't wait for you two to dig in. 🙌🏽
