Riders: Ben Ferguson, his brother Gabe, good friend and Olympic Gold medalist Red Gerard, (one of Ben’s co-stars in 2019’s JOY), superstar-in-the-making Jared Elston, Bend legends Curtis Ciszek and Austin Smith, a handful of Japanese’s newest contingent of elite pros Ayumu Hirano, Kaishu Hirano and Raibu Katayama, female phenoms Hailey Langland and Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and rounding out the roster with four of snowboarding’s biggest names; Mark McMorris, Danny Davis, Mikkel Bang and Travis Rice.

This winter will mark my thirtieth year of snowboarding, which I started after moving to Burlington and visiting the Burton factory store. The first thing I did when I started was ensure my safety by donning protective equipment, most importantly, a helmet. I few years ago, when riding down a steep, I fell so hard that I was briefly unconscious, even though I was wearing a helmet. I can only image how bad it would have been if I had only been wearing a knit hat. Showing these acrobatic boarders with no helmets will only encourage similar behavior in kids.

Hey, parent with kids that shred (9 and 11). Will the premiere in SLC be all ages? How kid-friendly/unfriendly is the film? No stress with some language, but trying to figure out if taking kids would just be a terrible idea.
