Various shots of Firefly planes on the deck of the British aircraft carrier Theseus prior to Fleet Air Arm manoeuvres off the coast of Australia. Rear Admiral Creasy and Admiral Sir Louis Hamilton stand in greatcoats on deck watching, as well as Air Force and Navy chiefs.
Several shots of the Firefly planes taking off from the deck. Control crew stand against the heavy wind on deck. Shots of the planes in flight, firing rockets at the sea below and coming back in to the carrier. Some planes comes in with a bumpy landing.
Shot from a previous set of manoeuvres shows a plane coming in to crash land on the deck - the pilot was unharmed, we are told.
