This has convinced me that I need a spin dryer. That Dorset wool is lovely. 🥰

Thank you for this great video! After all of the research that I've done on this, you are one of only a handful of people on KZread that follow the best practices of scouring. I appreciate seeing the process in action!

That herb drying rack is a grand idea! Thanks for showing us your process, it looks so simple yet effective. Your son's sheep must be brilliant to get such gorgeous wool from them!

Hi, yes the herb rack works really well, stops the wool from blowing away. The sheep are lovely, most of them are really friendly and enjoy a chin scratch 😊

I watched this lovely series twice about 3 months ago thinking "thats so fascinating! I'm just a knitter with no interest in any of this, but what lovely videos!" ...and I have spun up about 15 oz on spindles since the first week of the year, and have my first raw fleece arriving this week. I'm not going to say it was your fault, but... I sure hope you post more videos 💗

I have recently gotten some alpaca fleece, but it had a cement amo7nt of easy to spot Vegetable Matter… will this come out with washes or is it something more you have to hand pick out ? Do you know ?

Hi, I’m afraid I don’t have any experience with alpaca fleece. I try to pick out any obvious VM before washing. I find that any small bits that are left will fall out during the various other stages of preparation. Most will come out during washing, carding and spinning
