Yeah! I remember Phoebe thought it was an odd choice when Killing Eve producers approached her to write the series since she’s a comedy writer, but she’s really more than that.

This has to be the best reaction I saw from this episode. Especially the big reveal part, I reacted like that too, it shocked me a lot and the fact that Boo seemed to be such a sweet person makes everything even more painful. And it all makes sense, Fleabag's evasive and self-destructive behavior as a result of that horrible guilt she suffers. The way she even tries to "fool" us, the way she tries not to appear affected at times and at the time of the reveal she even looks so embarrassed by what she did to Boo that she runs away of us ... And the acting man, THE ACTING 👏👏 I really cried with her in the end, she is not only great for comedy but in dramatic moments she does it so wonderfully too ... Anyway, there are many things and details that make this series amazing, a perfect tragicomedy. And when you think it's hard to beat this level of quality, Phoebe comes in with an even better second season. This woman does not disappoint! I can't wait for your next reactions, although on the other hand I don't want them to ever end! ♥️

It was such a weird moment because you're waiting for something big to happen and that big thing is just a simple sentence. and it kind of leaves you hanging for a beat or two until you realize the weight that sentence carried. Phenomenal job on both writing and acting to make you feel every heavy second that hangs over us. I'm only a couple of episodes into series 2, but I can already tell what you mean! lol See you on Wednesday!

I wonder(ed) while watching the series, if 'FleaBag' used her sex (and sex) for validation: do people want me (around). Am I worthy for affection or trust... etc... And how sex (for her) was a way of communicating or maybe avoiding communication with self and others. I oddly understand her!

That's what I took away from it. I know there are people who do exactly that, they may not feel validated intellectually or professionally (her compared to her sister) so they try to make up for it physically as they see that as the only worth they have. Its kind of heartbreaking and adds to the tragedy of her character!

The theme for good British shows seems to be quality not quantity. The creators and writers have the freedom to tell the story in as many episodes as it takes to tell their story. So if it only takes 6 episodes, there’s only 6 episodes. There no network dick-head making it stretch to 8!seasons and diluting the quality. Let the story run at the correct pace and leave it at that.

  • @DFQreacts

Oh I know that! (Avid Doctor Who fan!) I still think its funny you think of 8 as a full season! GIVE ME 22 episodes!!! lol I always like a bit of filler tbh, it gives us more time with these characters and we get to see how they'd react to wackier situations (although this show doesn't need to get any wackier!) As far as US TV I feel like there's usually 8 core episodes to the story, 4 connecting episodes and the rest are filler. idk, I just like more chapters to my favorite books, I guess!
