The guy who owns the flea market has the scratch and dent appliance business and all those statues is his personal collection of stuff. That old guy who sells games his crap gets rained on, sun faded, and he still wants more than eBay mint copies.

Awesome hunting vid! A good rule of thumb when looking for retro is whenever you see Pokémon GBA games prices at $30 each they are probably a repro. Same with N64 games that are oddly clean with no label wear or damage it’s most likely a repro. Don’t sweat it, repros still get past us to this day especially when buying collections!

Had a similar problem with some fake merchandise I bought at a flea market in Pineville, NC. When I went back for a refund, the vendor put up a stink. But when I said I would call the cops, many other vendors came over and forced the man to give me my refund. It would seem that many of the sellers there were in the country illegally, and wanted no one from law enforcement asking questions at the market.

I knew about the Nintendo logo on the back and amazingly enough it was probably the same video you suggested or it could have been another like a short. I’m very annoyed that reproduction games exist since I don’t want those in our collection. Thank goodness that confrontation ended smoothly.

What I wouldn't give to have my original David Prowse autographed leather Darth Vader costume (labeled #1 of 10) that I won in a sneak peek of the original director's cut of Star Wars in November 1976...all 465 pounds of it... I won it in a raffle after the 4 1/2 hour screening... They cut a lot out for the May 1977 premiere... A family friend won the Chewbacca costume with Peter Mayhew's autograph (#1 of 15) on the label... I eventually sold the Vader costume to my friend's son for $50K in cash (to go with the Chewbacca his father gave him in his will) before moving to Vegas... I was sad to see it go...but I didn't want to lug that costume all around Las Vegas with what I thought at first as bad knees... This part is the worst thing about Star Wars... Dave Prowse was an absolute prick when it came to autographs... For one...he hated giving autographs... He'd state that every single one he saw online was a fake and especially on one that I had a picture of him actually autographing that photo as authentication... I think breathing all that leather in did something to his brain... Either that or the steroids he used as a body builder...

That's pretty amazing that you had won the original costume from back then. Jealous because I'll never own anything half that cool. I'm guessing the new Vader suits are a lot lighter and not as well made these days. Thanks for watching again RR!
