wow love all your treasures! you get some great things at the flea market. we only have one flea market an hour away and it is always crowded with vacationers and is very expensive. how wonderful you have such a resource. I remember those stitching direction booklets from when I was a kid in the early 60s. My mother taught me all those stitches. Memories... thanks for sharing.

There is a larger one up in Brimfield but we haven't been to that one yet. I hear it's a lot of expensive antiques. I love the vendors who are NOT dealers and are folks just looking to clear out a bunch of junk from their home. Chuckle... that's where I get the best deals. Have a Creative Week! Patty you got some amazing things. I love the kewpie doll. I'm an antiques dealer and if you want to clean it up my suggestion is to use a barely we Magic eraser. They work great on bisque!

Love all the books! I have a copy of The Language of Flowers with the slipcase that has been in the family many years. It's still in perfect condition. Thanks for the reminder. My mother was so very fond of Lily of the Valley and she always had some in her gardens over the years. The artwork is stunning. The Impressionist Stationery Box is lovely and I will be interested to see how you will use it. You certainly had a productive day at the Sunday flea market!

Beautiful treasures. ((Tip) If you roll or brush Matte Clear Gesso on the shiny paper it will help cut the glare and you can glue papers to it.)

Good morning Possum Patty! 🧚‍♀💕✨ Yay I love seeing what goodies you find at the flea market! Gorgeous Flowers book, as you mentioned the illustrations are beautiful. Looking forward to see what you do with the stationery box - the little drawer is so cute. And a potential secret compartment? How fun! Oooooohhhh that fairy book is INcredible! I already had to pause the video to go check and see if I could find a used copy of it! 🤣 I have some Brian Froud fairy books but nothing by Wendy Froud. LOVE the gelfling look of these fairies. SO cool. LOVE that mushroom stone. 😍🍄 I had visited a local crystal/stone shop and they had stone mushrooms, but the stem was cut in a way that they couldn’t stand up so I passed on buying one. The one you found is awesome! I’m glad you picked up the Kewpie doll since you’d had your eye on it and you just never know if/when you might find it again. GREAT treasures all around! Loved it all. Howdy and Good Morning, Amy and all in the doki doki forest! So happy you popped by so I could share some fun flea market finds with you. Yeppers... the books are lovely! I didn't realize at first that Wendy was also the creator of the gelflings from the Dark Crystal. Of course, I saw the book on a vendor's table for 2 bucks and snatched it up quickly! Chuckle. I glad I did! The Impressionist stationary box will be a fun project to do down the road... I'll think on it for awhile... no rush. I really NEED to stay away from vendors that sell crystals and gems... way too tempting. But, yes, I'm so happy I brought Little Kewpie home. I was hoping to find that vendor again! He's a regular, so I believed there was a good chance of that happening... and I had it in my mind to bring her home. HUGs from all here at Soggy Bottom! Have a Creative Week!
