For anyone criticising, this is how work quality evolves when customers always choose the cheapest quote.

use a metal puller and preheat the laps a little ahead of time if you want a bleed. dont walk or knell on your rolls, stan behind the roll and pullit towards you. If you work fast the rolls you are currently kneeling on would be far too hot still and would leave marks. Maybe it doesnt because you only heat the laps which is incorrect.

Bet that guy burns himself so many times a day At one stage i thought he was never going to move the gas hose

I would get fired if my boss saw me torching like that. Geez that's terrible. He doesn't even cut corners when he overlaps!

the bare hands part is not even the issue here, it's literally everything else hes doing including wearring shorts. Ive roofed over ten years and rarely use gloves when torching, a small burn on the hand is nothing, open shorts on the other hand is insane. if hot tar splashes your legs i feel sorry for you. also the way he torched the roll was all wrong.

Geez! Get yourself a trowel, long pants, pair of gloves and a longer hose. Feel for the people paying for this work.

ok, you also have to cut a 45% angle on your pieces you are going to connect onto each other. it allows the entore rolls to stay one size instead of doubling it up and created high spots. he's also wearing shorts, wtf???? he's not getting any rrof down the way hes doing it, his knees would literally burn if he was kneeling on a freshly torched piece or even on a very hot day the cap gets so hot even with clothes its too hot to kneel on.

You should be ashamed, thinking you where going to get away without anybody roasting you 😂

this is what you call a lap torcher. you have to heat the entire roll. I could get the right angle and ppull that up not long after you torch it down. if properly torched you cant.

No roll bar, cant control the spread of bitumen across the roll, it must all be fully adhered

you have no idea to install asphalt sheet. The first thing you have to do is put on some gloves and suitable clothes. and the second is to move the hose aside so that it does not burn.

Where’s the pressure to ensure no air is trapped?? Any trapped air will form into a blister when warmer weather arrives. Might look flat now but wait for hot weather 😰

@@wallywally3738 Roll the felt up tight and get on ya feet behind it, roll it out with pressure from your foot, thus forcing air out. Science says air expands with heat so trapped air forms blisters. That guy on the video isn’t a roofer, he’s painful to watch

I’m a flat roofer and honestly, Iv never seen anything like it. No gloves. No constant flow of heat, crap bleed. Sorry but that won’t last 5 minutes. If you stuck your underlay properly then you wouldn’t have had to stick the lap Jheeez 🤢🤢

@@AliGspot Anywhere there's an overlap even for wall flashings...Don't want any peeled up corners, do it for TPO, PVC and burmastic. Your boss will thank you later for saving him money and time. Unless he's a cheap asshole then. By all means do what you want lol.
