I ride a rigid single speed exclusively. A dropper post is mandatory, it allows me to move around on the bike as I'm the only suspension.

I recently swapped a rigid Whisky fork into my hardtail and have been absolutely loving it! Suspension has its place but for 90% of my riding, rigid is great.

One of the few mountain bike riders without suspension. He has my respect. Riding current mountain bikes feels soooo artificial to me with all that suspension. That's why I like the simplicity of gravel bikes, where you have to think a lot more and choose the optimal route at speed.
