Martti reminds me of watching Kevin Jones ride, smooth and in control doing the impossible.

MD is a smart rider. He trains crowd pleasing moves. He’s a natural performer. Whether he pulls of a combo or not. Noticed that he psychs up the crowd. A people‘s rider always win the heart of spectators, sponsors and maybe sometimes judges. MK on the other hand has always been known for constantly experimenting new tricks and combo secretly. Many times seemed boring and easy because he pulls them off ever so easily. His moves are not very crowd pleasing and entertaining but the reaction of other riders sealed the deal. Stemlashes x4 at that speed in a competitor. The pressure and distraction would make most riders bail on that trick. MD knows it himself. As a reactive competitive rider, he answers his next run with a move that has his foot on the stem. Both riders are awesome in their own way but flatland has come a long way from just being in a carpark halftime show. Great to be able to watch them on KZread for free without needing to buy VHS tapes.

Just a bunch of noobs in the comments, Kuoppa can do pretty much everything Dandois did but Dandois can't do anything Kuoppa did.... Not hating on Dandois he was the reason I started riding flatland.

the slow guy have a move just boring if your a flatlander you will see but for me mattias is the best clean and fast

Experienced riders & fans know why Kuoppa won this contest. He wasn't as flashy as Dandois, but in terms of raw difficulty he won this.

Close call but Dandois just wasnt on his game. If he would have landed that massive combo he would have for sure but thats how it goes.

Marti won because the riders knew that the innovative moves were harder and no one else does them... yet. Matthias is new school vs Marti of old school. Both fun to watch, but innovation always wins out for me. Slow but unique, it's how Kevin Jones pulled the wins back in 88. Mid 90s Kevin was innovating and speedy, which has brought out a lot of what everyone does now. Matthias definitely has speeded up tricks and linked them just as fast. Some tricks just can't be done fast.

For the people who are blind and think Dandois was robbed, he didn't land anything. A trick doesn't count if you don't land it.

Matthias landed his 1st 2nd and 4th runs. So saying he didn't land anything is total crap. Plus it doesn't matter how many stem roller whips Martti can do. The flat 540 cab Matthias does at the start will always look waaay fucking cooler.
