Flashback: Azie Faison Tells the Real 'Paid In Full' Story (Full Interview)

Ойын-сауық

Back in 2016, Azie Faison sits on the Vlad Couch to discuss his relationship with Alpo and Rich Porter, the death of Rich, and the accuracy of the life depicted in the Roc-A-Fella films produced classic Paid in Full. He also reveals being the founder of the underground hip-hop group MobStyle.
Faison admits that he dropped out of school in the ninth grade and began working at a neighborhood dry cleaners. Azie explains his success and the wealth that came with it.
He concludes the interview by absolving himself of the persona that had been attached to his name.

Crazy that Lulu might have been the government right off the bat. Getting that paper from the black community to support the war and also setting up the black community heavy for years to come and still now. The black community decimated how much torment, how many deaths lives destroyed black community and direction of the youth destroyed still until this day. The exact thing they are doing with todays music. I cant even call that hip hop. This is beyond deep! Thats why its called the trap!

How? Alpo didn't need those bricks like that b/c he was making BANK in D.C.. Alpo asked him twice about where he got the drugs from Right after he gave Rich 100,000 to get his brother & he lied. Alpo said if he's willing to let this little money come between them what else can he do? That's why Rich was killed. I think it was out of pure "you're disloyal. I just tried to help you get your brother & you lie to me? " which is so ironic for Alpo. Not over bricks.

If he didn’t need the bricks the free bricks that he now had that he was sent to get for the ransom those bricks weren’t for Alpo he went to the connect bc Azie was laid up so now he’s deeper into the crew other than the enforcer and soldier..now this ni99a asking questions?? Why would you be asking a connect how much Rich getting these for??? It’s of no business of yours unless you got other plans so therefore then wtf did he do w them??? He took them to DC he didn’t sell shit to come up w the 500K needed to bring home the brother of a brother he so called love.. he didn’t sell them and give the money 💴 to the family to see if they were straight He didn’t give that shit to Azie. When that nigga started talking abt the deal that Wayne Perry got wind of while incarcerated ya know the one Big Head Gary allegedly spoke abt?? Alpo, he specifically stated he had 1.5-2million I noticed his ass was hesitating bc he remembered stating he said the 30bricks Rich had was roughly around 1-2milly..get it?? Alpo was doing ppl in DC like what he did to Big Head Gary bc he knew the stash, pay attention to what mofo’s say rather than what you wanna hear..you might find truth there. He gets close to you befriends you creates a sense of Loyalty and trust..finds the connects, knows your stash, let’s you set up deals then kills you he makes off w the dope why??? @@TavaraTheLaughingLion Good Morning. It is taking everything in me not to go off right now. But I recognize you are young, and my responsibility as an elder is to teach you. Tavara do you know any Dominican or columbian drug dealers? Wholesalers? So how can you talk about who or who they won't "deal with." I don't know them now, but back then I did know both groups (I am the same age as Azie, grew up in the same neighborhood and know him and Rich Porter (not so much Alpo). I know both Dominicans from Washington Heights, and Columbians from the Village in NYC who wholesaled drug. They sold drugs to anybody who could make them money. There was no scorecard, or interviews, before you were eligible. Once they know you were not a cop, and where you were putting work in the reset, you were good, especially if someone vouched for you. The mythical "Lulu" did not love Azie, he loved the money.

@@TavaraTheLaughingLion Next. Tavara do you live in Harlem? Ever live in Harlem? Do you know that is only 45 blocks long, ten blocks wide? But it is bigger than Cincinnati, Cleveland, St. Louis? Azie is NOT teaching anything. What school? What podcast? KZread channel. What he is doing is trying to sell his book or his movie script. Because he was really about "redeeming himself," he would volunteer at a school and teach.Tour the school system speaking to kids? He would start a not for profit? Has he done ANY of these things? NO. What he is doing is going on social media platforms to push his "story" from 30 years ago, and his hopes to still make a movie. That is not redemption. Have you seen Harlem lately? Gentrified. What did Azie have to do with that? Nothing. He helped create the environment where it could happen. THAT is "what I take out of this."

@@richardcaines5335 they weren't theives...they sold drugs...They respected one another as bussines men.Unfortunately the business that they were in wasn't a good one.In their line of work ,of course they knew there wasn't any honour amongst others in that bussines. Those two knew that very well.So that's what made their interactions with one another quite unique.
