Flares LAR01 is a high performance 5-seater light jet manufactured by Metal-Master in Poland. The latest prototype of the jet appeared at an exhibition in Poland and our good friend @sxmstevo was able to ask a few questions on video.
The Flaris light jet is built to fly and travel fast, while making best of it’s useful payload. The jet has only one engine and can be operated by a single pilot. So think of this more like an owner operated family aircraft. Here are some of the performance data.
Capacity: Seats up to 5 people
Speed: up to 437 miles per hour
Stall speed: 72 miles per hour
Range: up 1955 miles on a full tank
Climb rate: 5900 feet per minute
Price: $1.8 million
If this light jet is successful to market, it would be in direct competition with Cirrus SF50 light jet. They both cost around the same price and practically serve the same missions, except the Flaris Jet claims to be faster and more useful on a grass field or shorter runway.

Always fascinated to see what can be stuffed into a small airframe and still retain performance. Thanks for the work you do bringing these videos to us.
1:10 "It can be adjusted for the high person." Perfect.
For all those people bitching about the space/price and comparing it to the Cirrus Vision jet; this plane (so far) is 200K cheaper (flyaway), needs less than half the runway, does not need pavement, flies 50% faster, goes further, doesn't need to be stored in hanger and has cheaper operating costs. Spoiler alert: the Vision jet is only 100Kph faster than their prop plane. Its also around ~3x the price, IMO if they can certify this to FL450 IFR and meet their costings then this is a much better option than the Vision Jet, and the logical steep up from an SR22.

Anyone in the market for a 1.8m aircraft isnt going to care about another 200k. Both these planes will still be landing on the same runways, it's not like this thing is gonna be doing back country flying on to private grass strips. And who cares about FL450? While you're spending the next half hour getting there the Cirrus will already gain 200 miles on you cruising at FL250 which is plenty. I still think the best pressurized cruiser for under 2m is the Lancair Evolution.

Your comments about flying at flight level 450 (ridiculous not even a B767 is certified above FL430) and getting the cost down, well that ain't going to happen.. who the f flies a jet off soft fields (which implies short as well). There's nothing special about this plane that makes it unique or more suited for soft fields. I guarantee you this plane will never go into production, guarantee it.

I love that central stick with two throttles!
How to use the parachute in case of emergency. 1.Pull the cable forward(to open the parachute cover),then pull again downward(to deploy the parachute. 2.Switch the landing gears(tyres to be open and ready) 3.Shut down the engine or reduce the cruising speed to less than 80 knots. 4.Prepare yourself and those you are with psychogically for the worse if parachute fails . 5.Get ready for the impacts when the plane touch the ground or fall .. 6.If you survive come to the comment section as give your testimony .. 7 .You can detatch the wings and use it on the road ..

How to PROPERLY use the parachute in case of an emergency: Step 1: Pull the cable parachute to open the parachute cover. Step 2: Parachute cover gets sucked into the engine. Step 3: Engine failure and potential fire breaks out. Step 4: Get engulfed in flames because your fuel is in the fuselage. Step 5: Enjoy the BBQ!

You have to love all the new aircraft & avionics coming out like this jet was that 820 feet take off with 1900 + miles range along with 5900 Clime rate not bad for the rich as they say its small so no super long runway and will work from a grass strip along with a BAS type chute not bad . You have to wonder what types of aircraft will be flying 100 to 150 years from now new ways of building them along with all glass cockpits displays that give the pilot more data than the fighter pilots in the SR 71 had. Thanks for posting
I've got two words for you: Predator drones.

Really cool seeing more and more of these single pilot jet aircraft coming out and of course that will mean pricing will start going down with jet operated aircraft because for most of your weekend warriors private pilots this is out of range LOL on top of that I’ve looked into it it’s definitely not easy to get your endorsement for jet especially for again a weekend warrior little bit different somebody getting into commercial flying now that’s a career but on top of the price tag the operating cost per hour I think that would be enough to turn me off I’m curious what operating cost is estimated to be an hour? Anyways what a beautiful plane though really surprised at it currently being set for 25,000 ceiling I just seems kind of low for that kind of aircraft and the speeds that it’s able to perform maybe that’s just me

A FL250 is normal for a single engine jet, the Vision jet has a max of FL280, the D-jet was going to be FL250 also, and all 3 are using the same engine FJ33
Center stick? I like it.
I think it would be a good drone !!
It sounds like it'll be half the price of the Honda jet, but then again it's a smaller aircraft too.
0:48 - 1:30 easy to understand tutorial on how to properly enter and exit this type of vehicle.
I thought there would be Flight footage, not just a tiny clip. Interesting none the less Shaun of NYC
Throttle position in that prototype looks awkward. Will be interesting to see how it evolves. I like the idea of being able to fly with the stick in my right hand, though.
I love the doors and the center joystick but what ever happen to the piper single jet Altair ?
Reminds me of the Cirrus
The sexy rounded windows give the impression of offering quite restricted visibility but that may just be a false impression from the views of the plane that are shown.

A very fluent speaker.
Ill conceived, but then I am biased by the Aerostar jet and friend's Premier for VLJs, and my friend who design the Eclips 400 in a weekend.
I remember watching this video quite a few times but somehow i did not put a "like" on it. I couldn't remember why until i saw the suicide doors.
I like it better than the rear V tail design, which is breaking off. and it's single engine so you don't have to get certified in multi-engine. And I'll bet it saves on fuel too. And with that parachute, it's like an air bag in a car, to take care of all your passengers.
Let's see it fly.
It's going to be certified in Poland first. UM.... thinking of the Wilga for some reason. Although the PZL M-18 Dromader was fairly decent AG sprayer 30 years ago. It even had a back seat to carry the mechanic along. What could possibly go wrong
Looks like the same fuselage as the vision jet!!!
for 1.8 million i would expect this plane to have 2 engines.
Great! When is the maiden flight scheduled and why does the certification process take so very long?
Would be nice to watch the flight.
Wow, my next dream “vehicle "..... but 1.8 is bit too steep for polish made flying vessel!
i wanna fly this
Seems the perfect solution for crosscountry operation between the agricultural regions of Brazil. There is a disadvantage of being produced in american dolars , what multiplie his prices on the Brazilian market. If was build in reais, woould have a bigger potential market.
everybody gansta till i pull up in a jet
Sounds too good to be true, especially if they can surpass the 25,000 ceiling height. Only negative is that it looks like that luggage compartment won't even hold a standard carry-on. Perhaps the video is misleading.
