Flares LAR01 is a high performance 5-seater light jet manufactured by Metal-Master in Poland. The latest prototype of the jet appeared at an exhibition in Poland and our good friend @sxmstevo was able to ask a few questions on video.
The Flaris light jet is built to fly and travel fast, while making best of it’s useful payload. The jet has only one engine and can be operated by a single pilot. So think of this more like an owner operated family aircraft. Here are some of the performance data.
Capacity: Seats up to 5 people
Speed: up to 437 miles per hour
Stall speed: 72 miles per hour
Range: up 1955 miles on a full tank
Climb rate: 5900 feet per minute
Price: $1.8 million
If this light jet is successful to market, it would be in direct competition with Cirrus SF50 light jet. They both cost around the same price and practically serve the same missions, except the Flaris Jet claims to be faster and more useful on a grass field or shorter runway.
Shout out to @sxmstevo on Instagram for submitting this video.

For all those people bitching about the space/price and comparing it to the Cirrus Vision jet; this plane (so far) is 200K cheaper (flyaway), needs less than half the runway, does not need pavement, flies 50% faster, goes further, doesn't need to be stored in hanger and has cheaper operating costs. Spoiler alert: the Vision jet is only 100Kph faster than their prop plane. Its also around ~3x the price, IMO if they can certify this to FL450 IFR and meet their costings then this is a much better option than the Vision Jet, and the logical steep up from an SR22.

Anyone in the market for a 1.8m aircraft isnt going to care about another 200k. Both these planes will still be landing on the same runways, it's not like this thing is gonna be doing back country flying on to private grass strips. And who cares about FL450? While you're spending the next half hour getting there the Cirrus will already gain 200 miles on you cruising at FL250 which is plenty. I still think the best pressurized cruiser for under 2m is the Lancair Evolution.

Your comments about flying at flight level 450 (ridiculous not even a B767 is certified above FL430) and getting the cost down, well that ain't going to happen.. who the f flies a jet off soft fields (which implies short as well). There's nothing special about this plane that makes it unique or more suited for soft fields. I guarantee you this plane will never go into production, guarantee it.

You have to wonder what types of aircraft will be flying 100 to 150 years from now new ways of building them along with all glass cockpits displays that give the pilot more data than the fighter pilots in the SR 71 had. Really cool seeing more and more of these single pilot jet aircraft coming out and of course that will mean pricing will start going down with jet operated aircraft because for most of your weekend warriors private pilots this is out of range LOL on top of that I’ve looked into it it’s definitely not easy to get your endorsement for jet especially for again a weekend warrior little bit different somebody getting into commercial flying now that’s a career but on top of the price tag the operating cost per hour I think that would be enough to turn me off I’m curious what operating cost is estimated to be an hour? Anyways what a beautiful plane though really surprised at it currently being set for 25,000 ceiling I just seems kind of low for that kind of aircraft and the speeds that it’s able to perform maybe that’s just me

BladeoftheImmortal Well you guessed that right. Layout for the interior was stolen from the Yaris. Braking is accessed by a moveable floorboard. You stick your feet out. Make contact with the ground to bring it to a halt.

Only a ignorant person with no aircraft experience would make such a comment. Your civic can’t cruise at 45000 feet!

If you stick your feet out and run backwards it also has reversed thrust.

Very interesting ! Don't like luggage compartment so far back, weight and balance concerns. Plus its really small for four people. Leg room for back seat is cramped at best good seating for children. Would like to know more about the structural Integrity for the engine mounts and structure. What was the pricing ?

Maby its small but this price, speed, range and you need only 250m runway... the best single engine aircraft!

I think they could have had a better presenter . He could have told us how tall he was as he got in so a self comparison. Nice plane with super performance but for me I'm still looking for an 86 or 87 Malibu.

If they raise the flight level to at least 41,000 feet and install the Garmin 3000...I'm sold. Til then, I think the Vision Jet is still a bit more attractive to a pilot
