Thanks for the guide on Flannery split, I had a manageable fight with the doubles fight with the gothitelle/bisharp in the back using yanmega, just made that double battle near free, just wanted to share that for those who have access to that mon :)

The random move Kommo-o was probably because you saw kill meaning dragon tail was disinscentivised, making it pick a random other move. Happened to me yesterday!

is it always random which fossil mon i get, except i had Aurorus or Carra? And great video, finally reached Flannery split at attempt 9, while always going to truck on Brawly before xD

The fossil you get in Mirage Tower is random when it evolves yeah. It can be anything aside from the Galar fossils, the only thing to note is that you’re able to get Tirtouga and Amaura from Granite Cave, so if you happen to revive those from the random fossil, it counts as a dupe. BUT you still revived a fossil which opens up desert underpass, which has all of the specific fossils allowing you to choose

When it come to idk say: A 30 Speed IV, Modest 11 IV Zorua w/ HP Psychic as your Mirage Tower encounter (not being specific about a 1 Death = Reset run being done). Does Illusion not work against “boss” trainers or is it useless for every single trainer in the game? Edit: I learned the hard way that Illusion is useless in this game…

If you trade it as a Growlithe it’s Hamilton, if you trade it as an Arcanine it’s Alaska!

As much as getting Cranidos sucks, it is the only mon in the game that can outspeed and ohko Maxie’s Crustle. Also comes to Tabitha if you can bait anything but EQ from armaldo.

so fun fact, I got a zorua in the mirage tower trying to get absol. the illusion ability for zoroark does in fact work for the AI. It looked like manectric when I threw it out and it shifted into golem trying to use earthquake

it might work visually but the enemy is not fooled by it. Zoroark basically doesn't get an ability
