Just to clear things up. I wrote the song in early 1979. My band was NiteFlyte and it was released in late 1979 on the Ariola records label. Flamingosis sampled it in 2021 with my approval. A lot of Japanese artists covered it and copied it mostly without my ok. The original song is called “If You Want It” Cheers and thanks for all the likes! Sandy Torano.

I think Flamingosis used our heart strings to make this song 😩🧡.

The way that you capture the nostalgic feeling of an endless summer in every one of your songs is nothing short of magical. It's also really cool how we keep coming back to the story of your dad and your uncle playing frisbee together. It's clearly something that has an almost mythical status in your mind and I find it oddly inspiring how you've used that inspiration to create all this bloody great music which is connecting with so many people. The simple fact that he named himself as an artist using one of the techniques his dad and uncle invented is a story I never get bored of. This man could have this as a music video for any of his songs and I'd accept that. They're all simply that great. Heartwarming and radiating positive energy like a childhood memory.

Oh man I'm feeling like it's 1978, and I'm back in 3rd grade, living in Los Angeles, trying to get to the beach as much as possible. Smog days and waiiting for the next Star Wars movie.

Such a beautiful song it makes you sad and happy at the same time.

My son and I have been watching this video daily. He loves the animation and I love that legit 70's sound.

I waited for the end of the day to listen again this. I did well, you should too. I couldn't resist my tears of joy because such of subtle and very well balanced sounds and images. You deserve all the colors of the world from creating such a pure musical jewel.

I normally don't comment twice. But I just need to say that the animation on this is absolutely perfect. It fits the vibes just right and is excellently animated. I really loved when the flamingos came down from the sky and starting forming shapes. When the trumpet player was overlayed against the moon and the trumpet became the synth it blew my mind. It was very creative. The music is great but let's give a shout-out to the people who made the music video.

This song is so groovy, it had me dancing in my kitchen like I was back in 2018 in a club
