I’m playing Dev Evoker for next xpan. Been playing for 2.5 weeks, maxed out now. Still trying to learn. Can’t wait for TWW

literally started playing dev evoker the other day and my god is it fun. Seeing the beta specs look amazing really considering evoker or arcane mage as a main. The evoker tier in season 1 also looks insane.

I feel like they purposefully made evoker lack luster and incomplete in DF because they knew they immediately had to add hero talents. This is what they envisioned evokers to be.

I just cant deal with how this look :( Drakthyr look too much like the friendly salamander in your garden and not enough like a cool bad ass dragon

@VesperalTV Hey nicely done video! I love Devoker and the new hero talents are looking good to me, but what do you think about them? Also there are some who complain about the aminosity change. Whats your opinion on that? And how good are Devokers defenses and self healing in TWW so far?

Animosity changes are fine tbh. Yes it reduces skill cap for higher players but it’s not going to kill the spec. Healing wise you do have some nice defensive and off healing options on Devoker still, including a hero talent that applies Renewing Blaze to an ally when you cast it.

it might actually get used if anyone plays dev, but they won't. aug is way more fun with hero talents and the sense power passive that shows u when teammates use cds. there is no need to ever take a dev evoker (for m+ its always gonna be good in raid), and i have mained it all of DF and fought so hard to get people to like it. rerolling arcane mage because playing dev is just pointless. plus the cap on dragonrage extensions is awful

when playing flameshaper you should try and fit in shattering star into the build . the 20% amp can be stacked with the 3 dots to make engulf hit for like 4 mil. you can also do Living flame ---> Dragon rage ----> shattering star ---> engulf x2 ---> eternity surge. This gives you 2 amped engulfs inside of dragon rage. Then from there on out , just save shattering star for when engulf comes off CD and stop sending them when Dragon rage has around 30 sec left. this will guarantee that you have 2 engulfs for dragon rage.

But doesn’t engulf does more damage with the amount of dots on the target? Which means you want to also fit in fire breathe in that opener

i cant fully tell if flameshaper is a dot spec now or what? does the damage mostly come from dots? i dont see anything in the tree that caters to dots i would love dot playstyle of evoker id main it.

It’s not so much a dot spec but it does compound more with multiple dots on your target. I wouldn’t call it a dot spec like I would Affliction, but it’s a mix.

Damn near the hole DF expac, I almost never touched Firestorm unless it was for memes do to better talent choices/ paths. Hope may yet be reborn for Firestorm.

How are evokers are they fun to play and in depth having trouble between this and my main shadow priest

They are really fun. Make one now if you haven't already. After pre-patch they start at lvl 10. Right now they start at lvl 58.

you're going to do alot more damage if you don't do your firebreaths at level 1 because the mobs aren't living that long

i think its the engulf talent that makes rank 1 fire breath better, more DOT's = more engulf damage

Between evoker and sham. Depending on how this rework goes...

No, it will never beat Fire Mage. But it is easier to learn than fire.

When you learn the rotation better you gonna do way more damage. You're not clipping your Disintegrate and you should always max rank Fire Breath all the time in aoe and if you use Dragonrage right after u gonna do more aoe burst
