Hey, it’s so great to see your review by chance. Great Review. Thanks for doing this. I’m the industrial designer of FlameCube, you can call me Cui. I am very concerned about real use feedback. So I went over this review three times. No kidding. :) I have some ideas, 1. The pot holder does not need to be inserted into the tube below for storage. That’s not what the original design was for, and that’s why for you so hard to take it out or plug it in, sorry we didn’t make it clear in the manual. 2, Because FlameCube is a compact stove. If you can get the twigs to the right length before you start a fire, things will go more smoothly and you’ll find that boiling can be done in a short amount of time with very little fuel. 3. Sorry the stander didn’t fit your cup well, we have to be honest, we didn’t take the size of the cup you used in thought, Sorry about . And the cup sits in the combustion chamber, and combustion does require some space, which is why there is so much smoke and it takes so long to boil. In our actual tests, it takes about three minutes to boil 500 ml of water. 4. If you need to use a red multiplier, please be sure to install it before you start a fire. We don’t want you to get burned, please be safe. The multiplier does work by using water to cool the power generation module to generate more electricity. We wanted to surprise supporter like you more, but judging by your review, I think we kinds of didn’t live up to our expectations, but we’ve made improvements. The pipe will be tight because it needs to be sealed to prevent water from leaking out. the reason for USB plug is the same to waterproof, so it will be tight. 5. Thank you so much for your review. It helped me understand more. Obviously you and I are both real outdoorsmen, and this is my personal email address cui@flamecubes. If you have any ideas, please share with me . I really look forward to your next review. :)

Hi! How many hours does the built-in battery charge on fire after it runs out? What is the real strength of the charging current in amperes?

I've made two versions, one like the picogrill 85, two peltier modules and it works fine to power a small powerbank, no fan. 200grams for the whole thing- A heavier one (700g) with metal sheets thick like the firebox. a row of vent holes around the bottom and row around the top. three peltier modules on each of the walls, and one wall has a feeding hole instead. Again, no fans, works fine, and charges faster than the other bc of the extra peltier and lack of vent holes throughout the chimney. Square burn chamber 15x15cm. 30cm tall no need for a potstand for any pot 16cm and wider, for smaller ones i can pass two tent pegs through vent holes to create a platform inside. Adjusting height, width and plat thickness/material is ideal if you have a larger budget for testing, unlike me. I want to make a titanium sheet metal roll one, with a fan. Round bottom to 'seal' air around the fan. Oval design towards the top to acomodate for the peltier modules near the top. Titanium has bad heat conductivity so i'm unsure how it'd turn out when it comes to energy recouperation through peltier modules. My plan has several 'ash pans' so as to not allow coals to drop down into the fan, but that might be solvable through a side locate fan like the Flame cube. the walls of the stove could interlock and stack like a Stormin Cone for a multitude of desired heights - shortest for pellets, taller for twigs, even taller for less soot and/or wet wood

Not sure of the amps. i will havevto run a timer on the fan by itself and to see if it over heats

The way you lowered the cup below the top of the walls really changes the airflow and performance of how it is designed to be used. I have no problem at all putting my pot on top of the walls and there is plenty of space to add twigs as it burns at its proper intended distance. Not a bad review but definitely try it with a bigger camping pot/pan.

No problem! I hope maybe they will fix a few things in version 2 they are working on. I sent them some info on what I felt could be improved so I hope so.

Can you do an update please? Did the company get in touch with you? Have they fixed the stability of the firebox? I think you have some very valid points re: the stability of the box, ease of assembly, cooking platform, efficiency of the combustion.

It is a very interesting system... However, just by seeing it I spotted a few issues... 1) Ash management... Since the power generator folded neatly under the "firepit", I was hoping it was open at the rear or at the bottom in order for ash to be easily cleaned... I guess my hope didn't materialize... this will become a nightmare after a coupe of uses... 2) Firepit grill/cup holder... Well... it hasn't got one & need one so moving on... 3) Water cooling... Scratch that!!! Why don't you simply change the set-up from cooling to heating the water? that would be way more useful as you could boil water while cooking something else. 4) Touch bouton... Not sure how well it will work after a couple of years of usage... I would prefer a tactile click bouton but that's my preference... So I will not buy it in it's present config. That's my two cent. But good idea IMHO.

Same concept. I did a review on the Biolte as well. I was hoping this would be as good with a smaller form factor. I'm still not sold on this one yet.

It's a realistic cup I use camping that I got in the Army so I figured I'd use what I have first.

11:28 there is the flamecube and the biolite. What other ones are you referring to? Those are the only ones I know of that exist. 21:36 dude... you are not setup for this. Crazy expensive for what it does. Charging off of the flame seems retarded slow. "Can't complain about the price" what ?! I sure as hell can.
