I’m sure you have read up on it all now but Flambards has a huge history, it opened up in 1976 as an Aero Park to house aeroplanes and the Victorian Village was built in 1979 so yeah the rides came after !! The Huss Frisbee came from Pleasure Island, the Rocking Tug came from American Adventure and the Super Star was owned by Scott Manning and used to travel

I would highly recommend Beamish Museum if you haven't been before. It's the biggest outdoor museum in the UK and is filled with things to do and see. The entire place is set in different eras such as 1820s, 1910s and 1940s. It's located near Sunderland and showcases how life used to be in the North East of England back in the Victorian age. They also do different events throughout the year such as Halloween. Well worth a visit if you are ever up here again.

That's a blast from the past! The dark ride tent used to be a 3D (red&blue glasses) dome cinema and was projected all around you, scared the poop out of me as a 6yr old. The ride itself used to be down by the log flume and had a hydraulic cover which would fold over the top of your kart while the ride was spinning round making it very dark. The dino express I'm sure was a land of little rabbits or something and the dinosaur nursery was the 'gus hunnybun burrow' where you walked underground and viewed all the rabbit warrens. Great to see they have tried to keep it updated. The amount of money I used to have off my parents to drive the (now removed) remote control boats where the small lake is by the mini-golf and they used to have a rainbow bumpy slide next to the drop slide. Ahhh memories.

I was here 2 weeks ago & it wasn't busy at all. All the rides were working & I started off with 5 continuous rides on the hornet. There weren't any queues at all for any of the rides so it was really good. I didn't really enjoy sky force as I had sore shoulders when I came off. On the log flume, when you got back to the start the operator asked if you wanted to go again. I had the baked potatoes with cheese as well. They only downside was, in the indoor exhibits, everyone kept bunching up & I kept holding back to let people get a bit infront of me but then more people would come.

The entrance to Flambards was moved when they built Sainsbury’s. We used to go every summer when on holiday, on one of the firework nights. My daughter and I spent one afternoon just riding the thunderbolt. But with the entrance being moved from one side of the park to another it meant it was too far to run for the last bus back towards Penzance

The park sits on the edge of Royal Naval Air Sea Rescue culdrose airport. The airport is huge, but you cant see it from the park. The original owner of the park was a former naval officer, who brought part of the airport from the ministry of defence. The airport is sometimes called H.M.S Seahawk, and is home to Britains largest helicopter squadron. The park probably has a height restriction because it is so close to an airport.

Hi Shawn , I’ve just done a bit of research into the Victorian street exhibit ( as it does looks loads better than expected !) . So that entire area in the 70s used to be an ‘aerodome’ with plane exhibits etc and then they put in a couple of shops. There is a tv show called ‘flambards ‘ which the shops are modelled on . Obviously it grew to 60 shops over the decade and then in the 80s they put in the blitz exhibit . Keep up the great vlogs

I first went in 1980 and here and Babbacombe model village set my dream to own my very own themed attraction (still working on it) But I hope you get the same jaw dropping moment I had 40 years ago, right will press play now and see what you thought :)

Well you loved it, we hoped you would, normally you can go upstairs in the village as well, did you see the old chemist shop, it was at the end of the village, it was all shut up for nearly 100 years, it was moved lock stock and barrel to Flambards cobwebs and all! and Charlotte to remember world in miniature. another place for us, the dinosaurs there came from another little theme park called St Agnes Leisure Park (my dream park) so the Dinos are very well travelled around Cornwall. sorry for such a long comment and added reply, we have been looking forward for you to see Flambards for so many years, as always you both have done the place proud.. But it's really true about sunny weather we do really bad in shops and attractions on sunny days, they really all go done the beach, on a over cast day it would of been rammed!

What a fantastic vlog Shawn and I was surprised that this park was one of Charlottes first theme parks when she was a young girl with here family. The Victorian village looks fantastic. I can't wait to see it for my self in the future.

Looks like hornet has aged well! It looks like a very smooth ride. I like to see how much you guys also enjoy and can appreciate the smaller parks they really need our support especially in these times and more than the larger parks.

My closest theme park as I live about 3 miles away. In my opinion Flambards is nothing to wright home about but I still love the Blitz & the village. Also it used to be called the Aeropark as it was a dumping group for Culdrose naval base.
