Great Truck, Just a Note, the switch on the dash for the Fuel Selection only switches in the Sender unit form tank 1 to Tank 2 There is a Fuel selector Tap on the Floor to the Left rear of the drivers seat :-)
thats an awesome truck my dad has the same model but a 43 year and his has a 351 windsor and a zf 5 speed gearbox from a 90s ford f250
Congrats on the acquisition. Nice lorry. Hope you have the engine cover. Gets a little toasty in the cab. I have to second the query on the status of the flakpanzer.

We do have the engine cover, and it was very toasty indeed! There will be some updates on the Flakpanzer soon.
😊 Great video 🙂
In his series "Can the Chieftain fit into a..." he discovered he can't fit into this. This big truck, when he can fit into a Bren Gun Carrier and even smaller vehicles! Well, he can sit in it but his criteria is he has to be able to drive the vehicle. His knee hits the wheel and he can't reach the brake pedal.
Fantastic vehicle, especially since it still runs!
Fantastic piece of history, immaculate!
Awesome tuff trucks. There is only one problem with them. The steering is on the wrong side...sounds great.

We had made a LHD conversion, with Mercedes Benz front system. I know that it loses its worth, but it is far better to drive...
Gawd how I adore the sound of those transmissions ma
Great story!
Cool truck, but how is it going with the flakpanzer ? Do we see any videos about that verhicle?

Very soon!
Just think just down the road from me here in Bordon Hampshire, during the war a Canadian camp they had the 1946 sale selling off these Canadian trucks in their hundreds. What would i do for one today.
Are my eyes playing tricks or did I see the gas pedal placed a little above and between the clutch and brake pedals?

You mean a little below and between? Yes, from left to right it is Clutch, Accelerator, Brake. I'd hate to be in front of this truck while the driver tries to quickly move his foot from the gas pedal to the brake. I suppose it's this way because of the incredibly cramped footwell. A driver could only keep his foot on the gas for hours if the pedal is on the floor.

@@donjones4719 Thanks for the time and effort to clarify this particular aspect. Yes, it is a little below, not above.
