1. Yes parts of this was filmed with my new point and shoot and I forgot to fix the frame rate 2. Yes technically this was uploaded on Friday in the Americas. 3. It's super late though because I am currently stranded in Copenhagen (Long story)

The writing underneath the bird actually just means "republic of Sudan", it's the writing on top that means "victory is ours"

I can read a bit of Arabic and at 2:58 it's actually read "Jumhuriyat As-Sudan", I believe it means the Republic of Sudan. The "An-Nasr Lana" is the one on the top of the emblem.

You’re heading to Greenland again?! Lucky you, that place is pretty cool. Maybe you should try to get to that strange rainforest on the southwestern side of the island.
2:57 That doesn't say victory is ours that says republic of Sudan. It says victory is ours on top....
Make a compilation of all the times you said “blood of those who fought for our freedom”. You don’t need to include everyone though because that would be a long video

Oh man, it's been so long I haven't heard "BLOOD OF THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR THEIR FREEDOM"..
THE BLOOD OF THOSE WHO FOUGHT FOR THEIR FREEEEDOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!
Have you ever considered opening up a physical space, like a "Geography Now" Museum? You receive all these things from around the world, and I'm sure you cannot keep all of them. The opportunity to have rotating exhibits by region or country are very nearly endless; commercial property is cheaper right now; you could likely find investors... I think of it as a logical next step for you!

Barb, I love your videos, and your mother is too precious for this earth
You're so genius in History and Geography. I love, too. Very interesting. I love to see other stuff. God bless.
love mom, she seems very proud of you and rightfully so. We so enjoy your channel.
Can’t wait for that South Sudan episode :)
The Magyarab population didn't "escape" the Ottoman Empire, they were part of the garrison fighting to bring Sudan into the Ottoman Empire. Their origin legend says that they are all descended from one man, who stayed behind and married a Nubian woman, bearring him five sons.
@salihalash4111
2 жыл бұрын
Nah it wasnt one man , many of the soldiers in halfa intermarried with local nubians
Barbs, your ma is awesome. Cherish every moment of your trip!!
Love Sudan from India 🇮🇳❤🇸🇩
I really liked the Sudan episode. It made me want to go & see the pyramids there once we can travel anywhere carefree, when the virus is so low we don’t need testing & all the other BS. Anyway, seeing your mom is always so wholesome & cute. Can’t wait for the next video!
Everytime it's great and lovely to see Barbs' mom.
Hey Barbs, you should do a special episode for state embelems of India. They are quite unique and interesting. Since states could not have a flag, they put a lot of deep thought in the embelems.

"Victory is ours" is written in the top of the CoA In the bottom it's written "Republic of Sudan"
I've never been this early before! Loved the Sudan episode.

Heyy ! Love your videos, are you planning to do one about Uruguay someday? Saludos desde acá !

Can't wait for the south Sudan episode 🇸🇸🇸🇸👌🏿
You’re the best!
You gotta go checkout Malmö when you're in Copenhagen! It's so much fun!
Can someone fill me in about why Barbs has to cut stuff out to save time? These videos often vary in length by quite a bit, and I'm not sure what the criteria is to when an episode gets "too long".
@smallgalaxy7509
2 жыл бұрын
I'm going to guess that he means too long for him? These videos take a lot of time and effort at their current length, if he made them longer it would taken even more and he still has many countries to do. Just a guess tho
@bryanhumphreys940
2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it's his own editing sense. For example, if he went on for 5 minutes about every region of the country during the physical geography part, a lot of people would close the video and go on to something else.
@syrialak101
2 жыл бұрын
I guess to make the video more focused.
@Sam-pv7bd

Fortaker. I was wondering that too. I found it strange that sometimes Barbs would say something like "this episode is already getting too long" or something like that. And I would think to myself "since when does KZread have time limits for videos? It’s good that I have an answer now. Personally I am not really a fan of how long the episodes are getting. I miss the days of the short episodes. I understand why they are so long now, but still…I bet the UK and USA episodes will be an hour or something. There’s no possible way the USA can be talked about in detail under an hour. There’s just too much history in the US, cause each state and region has its own history. I wonder how he will structure the USA episode.
Thank you for delivering on time!

At 3:00 the arrow is pointing towards the word "republic of sudan" however the arrow should be pointing upwards where the word "victory is ours" is written
I’m happy when I get to see your mom like Singapore episode and South Korea episode

6:08 Nah, this way is fine too if you want to display Upper Silesian colours... ;) Fun fact for Flag/Fan Friday Ukraine episode: yellow and blue come from the Duke of Opole (capital city of Upper Silesia), who was the Governor of Galicia-Volhynia. ^^

2:59 that says “Democracy of Sudan” or something similar
Yes, we've heard all the "Yes, she's heard all the meth jokes" jokes.
Here’s a video idea What’s the difference between provenances vs states
Please, add subtitles to this amazing channel :D

2:11 The Return of The Legend
The Secretary bird (Sagittarius serpentarius) also appears in the South African national coat of arms although the national bird of South Africa is the Blue crane (Grus paradisea).
