Sad to hear of Flacos passing. Whereever he is now, I hope his hoots have been answered.

🦉🗽🦉 let's plant more of his favorite tree in honor of Flaco? Btw, ask your representatives about Flaco's law, I believe it's also called the safer buildings act. It would mandate bird safe window glass. It's the least we can do.
Live Free Flaco and let your wings feel the freedom of the beautiful skies where you were born to fly and feel the wind beneath your wings.

True ~ I just don't wish for poison to enter his world.
Cool Flaco is whooting for a mate, but kinda sad there's no Eurasian owl to answer
R.I.P. Flaco 🦉😇
Cute hooting Flaco ! Thanks for your video😆
Flaco is definitely a beautiful bird.
He's so handsome!
El buho cantando en pleno periodo diurno!!
Flaco is a Eurasian Eagle owl
This owl is not indigenous to the US. He is a Eurasian Eagle Owl. He is eating ok, but he will not find a mate. We wish him the best.

@@lemondropkid6175 I think interspecies owl mating is extraordinarily rare.
Lovely hoos
I just found out about Flaco today and I am so happy he is living wild and free. Thank you for capturing this extraordinary footage and I hope he finds a great horned owl lady to spend his days with. Please can you keep us posted on Flaco & if he has been seen since?

Flaco is hanging out at the west side of Central Park near 106th St. We are so happy and hope for a rich and fulfilling life for Flaco as he learns to navigate our beautiful Central Park. I will be visiting Flaco again after making a few stops to see some other winged friends.
Hoots away from the same tree every day. So happy to have this bird around. Many thanks for uploading your footage!
Really sad to think he'll be alone his whole life never being able to fulfill his primal instincts
Many thx! Great video - Enjoy!
thank you for posting the date
Is the climate of New York City similar to the climate of the Eurasian Eagle Owl's natural habitat?

They can be found throughout much of Europe and Asia and northern Africa, and in climates as cold as the Himalayas and Siberia, so yes, the cold and summer will not be an issue with the Eurasian Eagle Owl, and they can be found in similar climates to NYC.
Yep, around that time of the year he is calling to attract a female to get together and make little owlets. They should release a female for him.

Tre's belle! 😊👍👍👍
I missed the wind noise and ambient sound at central park, the hooting is so familiar, I guess a plan for comeback and do birding is necessary
Who? No whom?
