Though as tedious as Edison, you can also use the Advanced Editing mode in Newtone to lower the individual esses

The Edison plugin looked so beautiful. The result. It looks like art.

Instead of having to drag and drop the edited vocals every time, you can just right click on the last button, it replaces the vocal in the channel and in the playlist. You can drag and drop if you want it as a separate entry.

the third method is by far the simplest and to me the best method. i havw watched quite a few of your videos and have found them excellent and highly reccomend them. thanks for taking the time out to share

Really gave me so much information that I was missing. Earlier I used to just put a deesser plugin and adjust the threshold. Never really changed the actual target frequency for deessing and it used to clean some esses but not all problem frequencies in that area so as a result I tend to do a lot of deessing.

I do like using a 3rd party de easer just for convenience and so I can use it in any DAW, but the stock stuff really does give me the same results if I'm being honest :)
