ive been interacting with him at GA events going back to 2018, i dont think he plans to switch mains any time soon!

It's really nice to see an aggressive Samus player. I still think this character could be one of the next to get a huge boost with the right player(s)

I’d say the next in line they’ve been kept around mid tier for too long (also kind of the case for icies I think slug just needs to figure out some of the demons mu) after that who knows pika still has a load of untapped potential the dk renaissance is still going strong we might just get one dk player to rule them all Luigi is kinda due Puff honestly might be due (though h box seems to be reforging that goal) young link I think has potential along with link but really who knows

@peter42466 It seems like a lot of these characters have something in common, which is the fact that they have only been seen at their full potential a few times throughout Melee history. Hbox to Jiggs, Junebug to DK, Axe to Pika, we've also seen top players show potential with those characters, like Armada to Yink (although that was match-up specific) and Plup to Luigi. So what I'm saying is that I definitely agree and I really think these characters follow a common trend where their potential *has* been show a few times, but they haven't been fully developed the way top tier characters have.

Silver was good at anti-airing n0ne but as soon as n0ne played more patiently and punished the constant anti-air attempts it all fell apart. Also, silver was overcomplicating edgeguarding a lot. n0ne got back a lot in situations where he shouldn't be able to, just because silver was unnecessarely dancing and jumping around the edge instead of just fsmashing or uptilting or taking ledge.

100%. Edgeguard is where fkn flunked. Could have reverse the steam at 8:09 for exemple. Not an easy edgeguard but better players would have 100% take it. This kind of cheesing d-smashes are part of Samusn' metagame… Plup did d-smash > b-air > chargeshot many times.

Saw this scenario so often. Better player adapts better but it’s moreso that the “lesser” player starts to play shaky on the verge of the upset. I was rooting for Silver! Amazing showing nonetheless! Samus gang!

Toph having the most Scar and Toph moment with that frenetic thing but now he's the Scar.

The difference between n0ne in the first 2 games versus how he plays in the latter 3 games is insane. Not just this set either, he just seems to power up (more than other players) after getting a good read on the other players habits. I'm a falcon main though so def biased

As someone who almost never plays falcon I completely agree. I remember there being so many times in his streams were half way through a game he would just start calling out loud everything his opponent was about to do. It honestly feels like a nen ability or something

He seems to be as technical as plup (ai from ledge, wave bombs) which is promising but he needs to adapt as well as plup to beat ppl like none

No, he lacks a solid gameplan. The reason he won in the beginning is because of the frantic anti-air playstyle which is very effective against players that aggressively jump around a lot (like n0ne). I doubt he would do as well against S2J and especially Wizzy. I would like to see him in some other MUs though, especially like campy foxes.

Falcon Samus isn't bad at all: You can shut down alot of falcons air mobility w projectile spam and really stop Falcon from recovering with Samus. CC does wonders. ...Sheik Samus though? ...That's Bad =(

Silver definitely lost some of his punish ability in the later sets and his neutral deteriorated however I still feel he has the most potential of any samus

I would synthetize it as following : Falcon destroys Samus Samus can destroy Falcon because of his bad recovery and his fastfaller condition makes him very comboable. Falcon definitely wins the MU especially if the Falcon plays patient but Samus clearly isn't hand tied. She'll destroy him as soon as he's offstage or gets a d-tilt etc

You do well talking about a dream because you guys are dreaming. Samus isn't an agressive character just for obvious reasons you irrational people keep ignoring. Her pressure is whack af while she has great defense (lives long, heavy, cc-d-smash, up-b OOS etc). You guys just want Samus to be Fox. That can't happen.
