FKA twigs isn't only talented but she's also a very sweet, loving, and genuine person. I saw her live a couple nights ago, and something about her performance changed the way I personally look at myself and people around me. She shares the love that she has towards herself and with her fans and it's contagious. She's such an inspiration, especially people towards people that don't know how to love themselves. She changed my life not gonna lie.

The beauty of this video is its freedom. FKA Twigs made this knowing it wasn't going to make money. The music will never make it on any kind of chart. She posted the video on KZread so people can watch it whenever they want for free. Yet she wanted to make it anyway. Because art. No other reason. And that freedom makes this something really special. For another example of the same policy from her watch FKA Twigs - Wet Wipez.

I said the same thing. Sometimes music should be just music - open for interpretation. Every song should have to sing lyrics for it to be a song. Art comes in many form and she showcased this through her dance. Beautiful.

Riveil drugs make you experience everything in another way- i love this anyway really, it's amazing, but i'd say if you enjoy it, listening to it when you're high makes it even more beautiful (but of course it's your own choice, you shouldn't do it if drugs are not for you)

  • @segaki

    @segaki

    9 жыл бұрын

Romy Hoogendoorn Yes, this exactly. Drugs don't suddenly make you enjoy different things you normally wouldn't. They may open you up to such things, but really they just heighten your experience. I hate when people say "oh man, you gotta listen to this high then you'll like it!" No. If something is shit when I'm sober I'm just going to be even more aware of how shit it is when I'm high. The best stuff to listen to high isn't typical "stoner" music. It's just whatever you like normally. I love fka twig's stuff sober or otherwise. But watching it high brings it to a whole nother level.

+Garret Herder I'm a artist and I don't agree with you yes you can create without being under a psychedelic notice I said psychedelics and not drugs because weed, LSD, DMT, and shrooms aren't drugs they are psychedelics meaning the give you a higher conscience yes this is true artsy, I agree no doubt but trust me it's two totally different experiences both extremely beautiful, do your research the human body and the way we are we connect to music and sound so under a psychedelic you will get different vibes and your thoughts and creativity will be different lol I bet FKA, SZA, Jhene don't smoke and do others and are who they are it heightens your mental you become more drowned in your work especially if you love art and music and just honestly pure love to create, I'm not saying you just have to be high or something to experience it but it does sober or high you will have two different perceptions of art and over all knowledge when you expose yourself to art

God, this video just overwhelms me. The people, the odd dullness of the overall video, the choreography just takes my breath away, it's so beautiful yet indescribable. FKA truly is an artist, more people need to stop being mainstream and realize what true talent and beauty this woman possesses. Even the audio does something to me spiritually, it just fits perfectly with the video almost like an interlocking puzzle...I adore FKA Twigs, and I'm glad I knew her before she blows up.

I don't know what it is, I'm thinking artistic genius, but this woman makes me feel myself. Its awkward and a little disturbing but I thank God for a person like her brave enough to do what she does. The first video f hers I saw was water me and all i could think was ew shes so weird how could anyone like this. But now that I've grown and done some things and i don't know i guess my mind opened up a little bit more and she keeps on popping up. And Everytime I see or experience her its so much more impactful its like she enhances all my senses and sexual tension in a more intimate way with myself. idk maybe tmi but if you're just now finding her and not really feeling it, my advice is give it time and she'll grow on you.

Totally get you! you don't necessarily need to feel attracted to her, she's impactful and worth following. she inspires me because she has a deep understanding of things and she's not afraid of taboos or being disturbing, something women have been hunted for years. Me and most girls are afraid to express our sexuality and this fear might be almost undetectable and seem natural, all because we end up choosing not to say/ do something that if we were otherwise comfortable with, there would not be a need to risk or to play safe. I love Fka because I've never felt like I had an idol. Not because I'm not sensitive enough or guilable, but because I've never trusted someone enough to look up to. Everyone seems to follow trends and do it for the money. I wouln't call her my idol, because I'm not like that, but all I can say is that: Fka is an authentic , self-knowledgeable woman that speaks the raw truth though her art. And that's something I want to be in the future, as a young female artist.

Just because someone doesn't care much about what she does, doesn't mean that person doesn't appreciate art. This woman is not an artist. She is out for money and that is her bottom line. That and a whole lot of narcissism.

From the beginning to end of this video the visual aspect of the video is beautifully done, FKA Twigs and the dancers/artists she is performing with move with so much emotion and freedom that it literally made me feel every sway, back bend, and stretch. The music itself is amazing, it physically makes me feel a raw emotion, almost hypnotized. So captivating. I can't put this on repeat. Its sensual, moving, dark and creative.

This is an amazing track of electronic psychedelia but I think that only considering it together with the dance, the choreography and the direction of the video it becomes a complete work of art, very powerful, expressive and moving. Performance and music are always strictly linked in FKA Twigs but this time she literally sang with her body and choreography has gained the same importance that words and melody usually have in a 'normal' song. This is... amazingly beautiful.

All the complainers are saying the same shit... "It's too weird to be art". That makes absolutely no sense at all. Anything that someone puts time, expression & value into is considered art. Cooking, dancing, playing an instrument are all considered art. Just because you don't understand its artistic value or think its too weird DOES NOT mean it isn't art.

I listen to it DAILY and I love the energy I get from this video. FKA TWIGS IS TRULY AN ARTIST AND I AM FOREVER IN LOVE WITH HER CRAFT! No other artist can make me feel the way she does (other than Aaliyah, and what a coincidence they have the exact same Birthday lol) this woman never ceases to inspire me and I can't thank her enough for that. Like how could you not be obsessed?! Love her and everything she stands for 💕💕💕

Huh of course people are saying stupid things in the comments, but what gets me is the people who either A: ONLY see sexuality when they see people's bodies close up, B: who think this is "out of the box." It's a beautiful video and amazingly produced for sure, but certainly not extreme or entirely unusual. People simply need to get out more. This is what we get when arts are cut from public schools-- a bunch of brain-dead narrow minded "thinkers." It's disturbing and alarming that some people only see this as sexual, because that indicates a fear and lack of understanding/experience with the human body. What, everything has to be about sex with you? I bet you freak out at the sight of a naked person just standing there. You'd have a heart attack at a nude model drawing session. I firmly believe that anatomy class should be mandatory in all schools. We all have bodies, wouldn't it be nice if everyone had basic knowledge about how they worked??? And that a body is useful for more than just sex.

Yeah...Dance is sexual in many ways. Human's are generally sexual beings, so it would make sense that we express that in our art. Nothing wrong with it. Although I will agree that there are a lot of people to dense to understand artistic expression and actually parse these types of videos witout getting caught on the sexual aspects. Merely shows that people are immature, and need their thoughts on sexuality expanded.

This is a true masterpiece, really. Look at thooose details... You can't find them all at once, you need to revisit this over and over again, just like you do with strong memories. This is so well done! And people who dance and love what they do, you know what I'm talkin about. Plus, music is whatever we want it to be. It's not about what it is, it's how it makes you feel. Really... I'm very happy right now. Just because of a simple piece of art. Enough.

FKA Twigs's music has this really gorgeous, enticing thing about it where you listen to one thing, consider it to be kinda weird and then the next song you're entranced because you realize just how beautiful it is and you cant stop listening to her songs. She is such a fluent dancer who represents her music in dance in such a way that is hard to explain but impossible to not-watch. I just want to take this moment to say, She is gorgeous, talented and a pure blessing to this earth, her music represents a lot of things and my emotions are so different when i listen to her music, like i'm floating and i'm just so happy i found her a couple months ago. I'm hooked on her music.
