I think the reason the front pocket zippers don’t go the entire length is to ensure that small items don’t fall out when you unzip all the way. But the downside is that it collects dust and random dregs.

It's a beautiful quality bag, no doubt , but I was surprised how big it actually is when it arrived. It sticks out quite a bit at the top from your back, unlike most bags that are more pear - shaped so it might get on people's nerves trying to get past you in a tight shop. In that case carry it like a tote.

i think the zippers on the front are shorter so you can access them fast and be sure its fully closed after makes most sense too me. Got my bag yesterday after watching your video thanks for the in depth look at it appreciate it =)
