Idea- instead of having the tracks dispersed on the walls that run horizontally however many feet apart. Get some in between them so both walls is one long track on each side. You can NEVER have to many tie down spots/options. Being a trucker in a sense & racer,I’m in trailers all day for work/play time. Having the tracks run along the whole long of the wall gives you many options for tying toolboxes down-securing fuel drums/cans. Jacks, broom for sweeping trailer out etc. Nice score on the trailer!🤙🏼

It's amazing what a difference a few feet makes on a trailer. Yanking a 46' semi trailer around is like driving a pickup, but a standard 52' or 60' big boy I have to move around and pull into the shop is a pain. Really glad I'm not a truck driver. As far as 24" wheels and tires go, always make sure to use anti seize on your hub centrics, lube up the studs and in between the nuts and washers with some PB or other oil, and either buy a tire bar or weld a chunk of round bar for a fulcrum to a 36" pry bar to lever the wheel and tire on and off. I only jack the wheels up about 1.5-2" off the ground and lift them on and off the studs with a bar. If they're real stuck, usually a 6-8 pound sledge to the sidewall will pop them loose, usually from outside but sometimes you gotta do the ugly sideways swing laying under the truck. Those valve stems have a rubber seal on the inside of the wheel, pretty much guarantee the silicone will eventually come loose and you'll need to remount it and replace the stem.

This was a super fun video for me to watch. I just bought a 26’ bumper pull Pace for my 04 MSM that I’m running a lot of AutoX and track days with. Mine is much older and came set up with generator, cabinets, winch which I saw your comments on, but these things work for me. Mine also came with a RV heat/AC unit. Anyway, it was the right trailer for me and setting it up is super fun. Like you, I am enjoying it almost as much as my new race car. It’s the old trailer that I always dreamed of having and for my budget, absolutely the right one. Thanks for sharing this. Great video.

You are correct Taylor there is a rubber seal on the inside of the wheel to seal the metal stems. Usually over tighten then nut can squish the seal causing premature failure, also looks like there might be also bit of corrosion getting around the stem hole. As far getting that tire mounted call les schwab most of them can service semi stuff of should be able to tell you which of their locations near you will be able. But I sure do love fummins/ trailer videos!!!

I put power stop drilled/slotted rotors and composite pads because of the excessive wear, noise, brake dust etc mainly from Pulling trailers. They’ve been on for a year now and can’t tell any where at all. They’re impressive!! They weren’t cheap but will last much much longer. Summit has them and you can buy them in a kit. If memory serves it is inside to out, and out to front, and front to inner. I am sure that you can find that information way easier then the last time that I did a dually rotation. Most big truck valve stems only have a shouldered seal on the inside. You can mount those tires easily with a set of tire spoons too. Harbor Freight has some that will do automotive tires like what you run. For actual semi tires with super stiff sidewalls and beads you'd want a different set of spoons but HF will have what you need.

#1 they make "skirt" lug nuts that will align a semi wheel better than the flat flange ones. You only need to replace 2 or 3 nuts per wheel to ensure proper centering. #2 The valve stems for aluminum semi wheels do have an O ring on the inside of the wheel. You can also get stem extensions that make checking the inside tire pressure way easier.

Always use a little anti-seize on the hub centric adapter so they don't stick ! I had that happen so bad we had to drive a couple of miles with loose lugs to loosen the wheel.

I'm from Canada, and to prevent wheels from sticking to the hub here we use anti seize where the wheel contacts the hub. Some people might not like the idea but it's better than beating your wheel off the truck every time.

Not sure if you'll see this before you come up with a plan but if you're putting the spare in the stock location should be able to use the stock wench system to get it up and down easily or something similar then throw a bolt through just in case cause it is so much heavier. Gotta love "simple" brake jobs. Also a jibber jabber t-shirt is a must make that happen. Good luck at the event 👍

Hey man I heard you talk about using a dead blow and the nuts on the inside of the rim making it extra hard to get off. I work for a towing company and I change tires on diesel pushers and some time those rims get stuck on tight my grandpa taught me to use a 4x4 and rest it on the inside rim lip and use a 10 pound short sledge hammer and beat on that block and then if it doesn't move go 180 to the other side and go again and even the most stubborn ones will work off. Also on our big truck most of the tire shops don't put the tires on with machines just big tire spoons the beads on those rims are not the same as car and regular truck rims. Good luck and keep it up love the videos just trying to pass on what I've learned and seen

Talking about comfort while pulling trailers on long trips. If it will work. Look into a Gen Y spartan for the trailer. It will cushion the trailer from the truck connection. Make for a smoother ride over rough roads.

08-10 ford 250s, and 350s were renounced for hanging up brake calipers. My 08 sat a lot when I owned it, and I had to replace 3 of the 4 calipers even before 80k miles. Replacing the rears was a good call, but keep an eye on the fronts. Anti seize on the guides isnt a bad idea if you aren’t driving it every day.

Get one of those aeropods for the roof of the truck to put the spare in, it will reduce drag when pulling the trailer too.

The brake clips are what make the grinding noise. That is their purpose. It is to alert the driver to replace the brakes. Without them grinding, the brakes could get to the point where you run out of friction material and lose breaks without warning.

I worked on daf semi trucks. Everything is heavy. I used clever tricks and tools. I strugle to slide a semi wheel, yeah no lift it. Yet a bar and my foot made easy work of getting them on and of.

Taylor I saw a welding accessory I think you'll be interested in. It's the Linear Amperage Control from CK Worldwide. Its a slider that connects to the torch and could be a good replacement for the button control.

wire the LED work lights on the back of the trailer to your backup lights circuit along with a diode on each side and you will have backup lights and loading lights.

I just did front brakes on my cummins tow pig last night.. I was gonna do just pads and rotors, but then I thought ya know, I haul alot of weight with this thing and if I'm towing I'm usually excited to get where I'm gonna and decided for the extra $100 it was worth it to do calipers too and know she's good for a while! And the nice thing about auto part store pads is they got a lifetime warranty so if you plan on having her a while you never gotta pay for pads again!

btw, high temp lithium grease works better then pb blaster for long-term anti seize (3 years through canadian winters, and popped off super easy). Works great between dually hub adapters too.
