Hey taylor, rent a small-mid sized skidsteer for 1-2 , maybe 3 days (depending on how early you start and comfortable operating you get) with a bucket and harley / power rake attachments. Get a landscaping rake. Order topsoil for day 1, use the internet to calculate how much you need or just get a truck load to start. Use the power rake to grade and till the current soil + grass. Then use the bucket to spread topsoil 1-2 inches where you need it. After it's spread re use the harley rake to grade the new top layer. Use the landscaping rake to find tune the grade and clean up small/low high areas. Use the power rake liberally to achieve a good grade. (which you basically already have) Seed spreader, seed it, cover all the seed by hand with shredded hay. Water water water, gl bro

Dig two pits in some yard corner, make them watertight. Build some fences around them. Throw leafs in one of them. Add some water every now and then. When one is full, start to use the other one. When the other one is full too, empty the first one. Leafs turn in to top soil in no time when they are in big pile and some moisture is added.

It would've cost less to just buy a bagger kit for that zero turn. Mulch and bag the clippings, and it would've vacuumed the leaves right out of the lawn. Battery mowers don't get enough lift/suction. The mowarator might need leaf blades as well, to help improve it's lift/suction.

You're gonna need to put some kind of organic material on top of the seeds or they're not gonna do well. Sand or sifted top soil are the best ways to do it. Then you have to water at least twice a day to keep it moist.

i remeber when we first moved into our current home. The yard had been neglected for years and As hard as I tried to get on top of it the first year, it was just overwhelming. I eventually bit the bullet and hired a landscaping company to clean and clear to get me to the point that I could restore the lawn and finally get to work on redoing some of the scaped areas on my own. Let me tell you it was the best $3200 I ever spent. They cleaned up everything and hauled it all away and left me with a great foundation to work with. I still use them twice a year for spring and fall seeding, treatment and fertilizer which is less than $400/year. Over the years I struck up a friendship with the lead lawn tech that does my yard and he helped a couple years ago put in a cool 106 yard par 3 with a putting green. Decent equipment is key to maintenance and I couldn't be happier. I appreciate the sweat equity you're putting in but for me there were better ways to spend my time when it came to the cleanup process.

Hey Taylor! You should put up a small fan in the entrance of the container so you get some airflow for when you're in there. Doesn't have to be big to make a huge difference in working temperature in there. Also pro tip, since you said you ofc don't know where all the parts you have actually are, print out lablea on your printer (don't need a label maker) and create a logical system, where you number or alphabetise your toats, for example A1 has air tools, B1 has brake parts, C1 has coilovers etc. I have that system and it changed my life!

Aerating your yard will do a grate deal for your yard you can get a pull behind aerator for you mower at Home Depot. I would also put Scots weed and feed. I also suggest putting a battery tender on the zero turn and sharping the blades on it but you need a blade balancer or have a small engine shop do it. I would also suggest edging around the cement. You can do the edging with a weed eater or you can rent an edger and black top. It would be grate for the curb appeal of you property. Also doing some black mulch around any plants out front and around the shrubs and the trees. If you buy mulch buy in balk from some ware like West Volusia Shed co.

I honestly surprised how well that little robo mower picks up the leaves. I'm not a fan of it, but very surprised how well it did. I would be using a back pack blower and raking it up in half the time

Good work so far…you would do well to have a massive trip off all the trees and bushes all around your plot… Not only will you get new strong growth..but loads more space and it will look lots tidier next year!

I have that same zero mower. It's invaluable as to how much hauling and torque it has to use for yard work. Kohler made a good engine.

dude just pay a landscape company! they'll come 2-4 times a month cut the lawn, clean the leaves up, fertilize and trim the bushes, all you gotta do is water the lawn. so much easier

Yes. You used to be able to buy assembled products! I had a part time job as an assembler. I was putting together bikes, mowers, shelves, tables, lawn accessories, etc. The sole reason it has stopped us cost. They can cut out the assembler job but charge the same amount for that product.

I’ve really like the home maintenance videos tbh lol idk I feel like you make so many videos for us and “content” that you neglected the property a lil. Feels good as a viewer (& 10 yr landscaper myself) that you’re taking time to do the physical labor to make your home beautiful, and the results are clearly showing in the videos. Anyways keep up the good work and drink water, T-diddy

some shed roofing spaced a few inches off the roof of the container would make a massive difference to the temperature inside it, it would also prevent water from pooling on the top which will eventually lead to rust

It would help your grass in the very weak / dead areas if you also threw down some hay after the seeding. Hay in general helps protect the new grass and keep some moisture in while it gets started

1998-2000 I assembled things for wal-mart. We would sell things disassembled but we assembled most of the items. Lawn furniture, mowers, grills. Additionally if we didn't have something assembled you could buy it and we'd assemble it overnight and you could pick it up the next day.

When you get down to more dirt than leaves just leaf blow the stragglers into the woods. Also if you apply cool-seal for mobile homes to the roof of your container it will drastically lower the temperature inside. Seriously need to get a leaf bagger for your mower. Can do 2 55 gallon bags of leaves at one time
