My S20 Ultra doesn't have a "See System Apps" option

so I just got around to updating my S20 to the latest version of Android and see that Samsung has moved the 'system apps' option from the 3-dot menu icon to right above the list of apps you see. it's included in the sort option as a toggle to enable or disable system apps

Phones in this decade should not be having these issues period. Especially when they removed the aux port. It's pretty unbelievable considering how much these phones cost now

couldn't agree more. the Bluetooth stack on Android is pretty awful. be sure to check out my latest S21 video about this as I mention another method that can help people (which is from google re-writing the stack entirely, it's found in developer options)

I agree 100% My car also removed the aux plug, so it's this crappy phone for my music, or the radio. It'd be sweet if these companies made sure the technology is ready before just dropping the old stuff.

worked for me and the samsung S20 FE connection to the Marshall speaker - thank you so much!!!

I did what you said but my S20 still won't connect to my iHome. It won't even pick up its Bluetooth pairing signal.

The clear cache and data options are grayed out and, therefore, will not clear. What do I try next? I already manually unpaired all my blurtooth devices. That action had no impact on clearing.

I just force stopped the Bluetooth app and tried scanning again.. It seemed to have fixed it. You video still helped me get there, so thanks!

Of all the things I looked at this was the only one that worked.

I have the same Bluetooth problem with my S20, problem that I never had with my S7. I have always problems when I want to pair with my car. I've did what you explain, it works once, but it continues to restart the connection after 10-15 seconds, so on the car screen it appear "your phone is connected" and after 15 seconds it's disconnected and try to connect again... do you know why?

Looks like they removed the "show system apps" option in an update, so I can't even access the Bluetooth app to do this. Turning Bluetooth off and on did nothing. Removing all devices did nothing. Restarting did nothing.

THANKYOU SO MUCH,, it works 100% on my s20+,, i gave you thumbs up 100times.

Thank you for this video! I followed the instructions and turned my S20 fe off and on again after, only to find the data back in the bluetooth app. It says its deleted but pressing back and then going in to data again shows that it isn't deleting anything really - the same amount of data is back there every time. Any further suggestions?

This helped me connect my beats pill on my S20 FE. The settings are arranged a little different, but I found it. There's an extra drop down menu above all apps next to where it says my apps to enable "show system apps".

Hello. When I open the Apps menu and then press the 3 dots, I only see Permission manager, special access and reset app preferences

Thanks for this it worked👏. Since I purchased my S20+ four months ago I haven't been able to see my phone contacts in my car settings. I even called Samsung and they couldn't even explain this.

@@ExplainingAndroid That's the same problem I'm having. Cannot transfer contacts or call history to my Subaru. Totally frustrated at this point. It connects the phone at least. But I honestly do not want to have to answer every call. 😑

I don't think this is going to resolve my problem, I know how to re-pair my bluetooth. I just want my phone to reconnect automatically with asking me to pair with a device that I'm already paired with. The device in question is a bluetooth/FM car transmitter that turnes itself off every time I stop the engine, if I could stop it turning off that would fix my issue but I'm pretty sure that's not possible. What ought to be possible is that my phone should automatically paur itsell to an available device without asking for my pwermission every time. Can this be done?

did you fixed that problem? i have the same issue, it was working just fine and out of nowhere it stop reproducing any media, it appears to be paired, the phone still conects and makes calls, but its the media thats giving trouble for me

I have an S20 with the most recent update in October 2021 and when click the 3 dots i dont have that option?

Do you have any advice, on my mums phone it says it’s connected to the Bluetooth device but music only plays out of her phone still?

Will this fix the issue where my phone is connected to my vehicle but the phone is always behind. As far as you can tell whem someones singing that the music does not match their mouth movement?

Okay I tried to follow your instructions, but when I go to settings and tap apps then tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner I don't have the option you mentioned to tap the "System Apps". For whatever resason that option is not available on my s20. I only have three optios. They are 1) Permission manager, 2) Special Access, and 3) Reset App Preferences. Are any of those able to do what you are trying to explain? Is there another way to clear my blutooth cache and date?

Hello I have a Samsung s20+ and have the following Bluetooth problem. Whenever I want to connect to my car it only works once and when I select my paired radio again the error message "no connection possible" appears. I have to unplug and replug my device and then it works again. Why is that so?

watch my updated Galaxy S22 bluetooth connection issue video. it has the updated version of OneUI in it (so you can find that system apps option)

Which one is the only issue I have with Bluetooth Connexions is the inbuilt link to windows function with the phone app everything works said I cannot make phone calls except emergency calls I contacted side by side and according to them it is nothing to do with any things but it may have seemed to do with the fact that I use my mobile AP for my Internet connexion any help on that would be appreciated

Both the buttons are greyed out and I cant figure out why. It wont let me click on the clear data or the clear cache button

i have a20 3 years old phone i know that i missing point of coming here but when i want to connect it with pc it says couldn't pair, check settings for this device and try again, i get same result from this you showed but what i noticed when phone show to me pairing... text, pc says it's connected but phone still trying to and after all that effort it says that "couldn't pair" message and on my pc "paired", so from this i can say "paired" means it isn't and "connected" on pc too was connected but shortly, does it have a chance to be completed with success or i should give up

So... weird thing. I was able to connect my phone to my laptop until 10 days ago. When I cleared the data and cache, it did not erase any of my paired devices but it also added my laptop back to paired devices after I had unpaired it, which was odd. But it still won't connect on my phone, even though my computer says they are paired...

Did you solve this issue, i switched from the S8 to S20 and now a few of my bluetooth speakers say I need to install an App.

Great stuff.. worked for me.

Whenever I connect to my Bluetooth headset ( Card 20 tws) the other person on the other side of the call always complains about voice echo... Why is this happening?

Ever since I updated to the newest android version on my S20FE I am no longer able Start playback via Bluetooth audio in my Ford (Sync 3). It just says "Not provided" in my media player on my dash. Once I pick up my phone and manually open Samsung Music it seems to work fine after, I can tell it to play and it does. I have the setting in Samsung Music set to allow Bluetooth devices to start playback, but it clearly doesn't work the way it used to anymore.

Was hoping this would work on galaxy note 10 plus 5g but show systems apps not a option i used samsung smart switch to restore my other note 10 to this new one and it restored bluetooth now all bluetooth items pair but no audio plays out of them

Even though a few Samsung S20+ / Android 12 items had moved since the video, I was able to locate them and follow these instructions exactly....in an effort to fix Bluetooth connectivity problems since recent phone updates. However, this procedure did not maintain the 'zero' of cache and data clearance, and did not unpair any of my devices as expected. I did turn phone off and reboot as suggested. Not sure where to go from here.......

Using s 20 ultra ... Bluetooth application is found in a different manner but theres no ability to clear cache/data. The buttons are greyed out preventing use.

correct, Samsung updated Android to a version that removes this option. I recommend you watching my Galaxy S23 bluetooth fix video so you can see the options available on the latest version of Android

I tried this but it didn't work. My phone says it is connected. It plays music thru my speakers and my car like my old phone but when i call someone it doesn't go through to my car and speakers the call is still on my phone. I have done everything you said still didn't work. I just got my S20 FE 5G phone a few days ago. I have reset the network i have cleared the bluetooth devices in my car and phone. What else is there to do? I

my Samsung galaxy use to connect fine through Bluetooth to my desk top, now suddenly the desktop connects but Samsung phone just keeps saying couldn't connect, have tried every thing including this fix nothing works, any ideas, really need some help.

When clearing my cache/data it doesn't delete it, it stays there after I leave the page

When I get to the Bluetooth storage screen the Clear Cache and Clear Data are greyed out and I can't clear anything? Please help!

sadly, the latest versions of Android have removed this ability. I would recommend you watch my Galaxy S23 bluetooth fix video as I detail some other options that you can try

While this is quite comprehensive, my Samsung S20 does not have Bluetooth within the apps menu, running the latest android 10

For me it doesn't say show system apps what do I do

I got JBL Endurance Run Bluetooth eardbuds. It's working fine. I've tried it to answering a normal calls and it worked. It got microphone built-in. The thing that I notice is, when I wanted to choose Bluetooth microphone input on the pro video, the microphone input choices only allowing omni for some reason did you know why? Btw I'm using Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

Got a s21 and all my games have some latency through bluetooth audio. Tried all kinds of tips but nada.

unfortunatly, this didn't workd for me. although my problem probably doesn't have anything to do with this. if anyone has a clue of what i can do then please tell me. my wireless earbuds never comes up as an option to connect to on bluetooth. i've tried everything. i've restarted my phone, restarted my earbuds, tried every option there is for bluetooth, asked my friends, asked my family, etc and of course this.

I have the exact same problem and I don't know what to do... it's weird cause I can conncect my phone to my car, but when it comes to my headphones - they just won'tshow on the available devices... I'm desperate!

I was having huge dramas Bluetooth connecting my Sony headphones to my new Note 20 Ultra. They connected to my old Note 5 no worries, but the Ultra wasn't recognising the headphones. Turns out it was a fairly simple fix and nothing to do with this video. Basically I just held down the power button on the headphones for 7 seconds. Usually I would press it for 1-2 seconds to turn them on but this didn't enable them to appear as a Bluetooth audio device. Holding the power button down for 7 seconds though seemed to reset and the blue and red lights starting flashing really quickly and voila. The headphones appeared as an audio device. Worked same on my laptop as well after trying to connect via Bluetooth for ages.

Didn't erase anything its still paired not sure why

I cant find the Bluetooth application somehow. Any ideas as to why ?

I have the S20 Plus 5G and mine still won't connect to a number of my bluetooth devices. Plus i can't find how to clear cache and data on it

This was easy and worked.

Mine keeps automatically turning on right after I turn my Bluetooth off, I can't keep it off, just drains my battery

Hrmm, have you tried doing this while the phone is in Safe Mode? try this tutorial and see if the same thing happens - www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-s20-safe-mode/ if it does, then you may need to do a factory reset to fix the bug. if it doesn't, then it's one of the 3rd-party apps that you've installed that is turning it back on

Every time I connect my headphones I can't hear anything

I did this and I still have the problem I can connect to the galaxy buds but as soon and I move about a foot away from my phone the connection gets weak and I cant hear anything

Omg me too. N I listen to my earbuds for about 8hrs ag work. Started with this last update

I've done all of this but my bluetooth Sony headphones still don't show up. This all happened when I was listening to some music and it disconnected. So I got rid of it off my bluetooth and now it's not showing up anymore. Please someone help 😢

My bluetooth works but once I get to my job it cuts on and off I need some help it's a Samsung a10e
