not sure if its the same situation, but i live in a small brazilian city (its actually a capital of a state, but compared to many other cities it is pretty small, not even 900k residents) that is still pretty conservative and i usually get some weird looks for my long and painted hair, painted nails and earrings + septum piercing as a cis male, and what i usually try to do mentally is just ignore everyone and focus on my perception of myself. everything that i do with myself i do because i love it and it makes me feel better with myself, so fuck what everybody else thinks. even my family hates it, but what matters to me is mainly my opinion about it and secondly my friend's and significant other's support (oh and try to surround yourself with people that support your every decision, even if they don't personally like). i know it is probably much easier for me as white cis male, but maybe this way of thinking might help someone.

Your natural texture is gorgeous!! I love this haircut. Just remember you can do whatever you want with your hair, including straightening it and dyeing it. I’ve seen A LOT of pressure online from people saying textured hair is like “”sacred”” or whatever. Remember that we’ll always have your back no matter what :-))

You were my inspiration to accept my punk side I hid for so long and just say "fu€k it" and cut my hair. my parents hated me for it but I'm now mentally stable,happy in my own place with great job, I got my first tattoo this month that is a half sleeve that I designed myself. Thank you for being awesome, beautiful and real.

Thinning sheers my dude, you could do some cool choppy/blending into your hawk without having to struggle with a guard.

I am honestly amazed by how easy it seems to be for you to cut off all of the hair on the back of your head. I struggle with this so, so much! I also really have problems with perspectives in mirrors. >.> Maybe with more time it'll become easier for me, too. ^^ I like your cut with the v-bangs!

can I just say I absolutely love you, I love coming back and watching your videos whenever I'm upset. You gave me inspiration to express myself and ik even when I was younger that I wanted to be like you. so thank you

I recently got a short cut myself (somewhere right in between your before and after from this video)! My hair is much finer than yours, but I get great results bringing out my natural wave by washing, towel blotting, and spraying the top with a salt spray that has a light hold gel in it (I use the one from Lush). I scrunch the longer top up and arrange it, then let it air dry all the way. I brush through the dry, gel-crunchy hair until it's soft and nice, and then define with a tiny bit of hair pomade. Then I spray the top with high hold hairspray to keep the shape in place and help hold the volume. That procedure takes less than 1 hour, and mostly it's just air drying time. And I get maybe 4-5 days out of it without dry shampoo before I have to wash it!

YAAAY You're back!! Was trying to think of a really smart comment but I've come up empty. Literally I think there's no hair style you can't pull off, looking amazing as always :D Btw Don't know if you're still in lockdown in Holland but stay safe regardless, some parts of Britain are mad right now.

I love having short hair but I'm having a hard time cutting it cause everyone else says I need to keep growing it out cause I'll "regret it again" but I don't regret it and it's more fun having short hair, I'm not sure what to do

I have also been cutting my own hair for years both long, short, shaved, whatever and your style is such an inspiration. btw i'd try using those scissors with teeth, i think theyre called texturizing scissors for the bangs and evening out any chopped straight neds left from the clippers, theyre also good for thinning and blending and give you more precise control than clippers
