If we brought together Andrew Camarata from the US, Ants Pants from Estonia and Mattias Bjoernstrem from Sweden, these three could build a whole city by themselves and maintain it all forever ! 😅 Watching you from Paris and enjoying every single second of your videos ! Thank you SO much for sharing, Mattias !!!

That's the nature of living in remote places. if and when something happens, you need to have the equipment to fix it yourself because there are no guarantee that someone else will be able to help you. If a small flooding occur at an airport in a city of 400 000 , they will just call _a_ "water-removal-company" downtown and have them fix it. They don't need to have the equipment themself.

It must be lonely being the only human in your country. You seem to deal with it like a champ.
Your assumption that the live cable you trow in the water next to your feet has no cracks could become lethal. Hope you stay always healthy as you are mate cause we love watching you do stuff 👍. Its funny though how land surveyors allowed an airport to be built in a flood plane. Well the same thing or 100 times worst happened in Greece with one of the most important military airports😂
I thought you were going to get a road sweeper/washer for cleaning those markings but you got the fire truck instead. That was much more impressive to see.

The bv 206 atv can swim. So no need to worry about the depth. Just make sure you remember the bungs in the bottom unlike a mate who forgot to put his back in after washing. When he sunk his in Port Stanley, in the Falkland islands during swim testing.

Always cool watching you tackle a problem and use the tools to get it done. Pretty amazing how the body adjusts to temperatures…50-60 degrees F is war/hot after being in subzero temperatures. Beautiful scenery. That tracked vehicle is pretty bad ass. I want one. LOL.

The airport can afford all of this equipment because they only have one employee . BTW, who is up in the tower right now monitoring the airspace! Another great video! :)
@mews_se

It's a non-controlled airport, with AFIS only. This is very normal in urban parts of Scandinavia and the Nordic countries where you need a "manned" airport to be able to use for commercial flights - but don't want to pay for ATC with only 1 or 2 flights per day at max. So all clearences comes from the radar sector above the airport that the person in "the tower" relays to aircrafts and at the same time provides traffic information - hence you might have noticed the last video when Mattias said "runway free" because he cannot clear an aircraft to land, he can only relay the information
@rkan2

@@rkan2 The government policy is that even municipalities with very low population densities can't have _too_ terrible communications because then they just have no fighting chance. So, yeah, there are some airports with very low traffic but a surprising amount of infrastructure. It doesn't really cost all that much to do but it makes remote parts of the country less isolated. Some of those airports are former military airfields from the Cold War era, but this particular one isn't; it opened in 1999 when the Swedish air force was busy trying to get rid of everything it could.
