Fixing Dull Silicone Molds and My Leveling Table

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey everyone. I started having issues with my silicone mold getting dull and unusable. I also had another one that was so thin that it would leave ripples in the resin as it cured. I was having issues finding a good replacement. So, I search on the internet and came across a KZread channel called Pouring Your Heart Out, where she addressed the dull issues of a well-loved silicone mold.
In this video, I attempt to fix my two silicone molds using her method. I want to thank the creator of Pouring Your Heart Out for her video. It was very helpful and informative.
I also introduce my leveling table and how I keep it usable even with resin and level it. The table is 12x24 inches but you can build one to any size you wish. I may be expanding mine soon.
If you are interested in her video, here is the link.

I found a useful tool for new KZreadrs. I just started using TubeBuddy to help me with my KZread channel. It helps with keyword searches, quick links within the KZread Channel platform, shows me video performance, and overall has helped my videos get exposure when using the tools in TubeBuddy. Within a day, I saw an increase in views on the videos that I reworked using some of the tools in TubeBuddy. I am still exploring more and I highly recommend anyone with a KZread channel, especially those just starting or those who have hit a "brick wall" to try TubeBuddy. Use my link and see for yourself.

thank you! My studio is a converted garage so the floor has a slight slope. It's fine for working in but for something that needs to be level, it causes issues. This table works wonders for that.

Wow, I didn't even realize you could do this. I'm going to try this out for my dull molds, but also for molds that were never shiny. Thank you so much!

@@CreationStudiowithLaLitaIn a pinch, you can also coat them with a layer of UV. I do this all the time with molds made with a matte finish. I have several but only use them on occasion

Good idea! That's cool at the end about popping it out and being able to repour again, and get the depth back if you need to. I have been wondering how to restore a mould that has detail on it. It seems this method would cover the detail, so I'm wondering if there is a kind of spray method or something to spruce up the shine?
