Fixing Bad Graffiti
Комедия
Welcome back to another round of fixing random junk from the internet! This time, we're fighting fire with fire by graffiti-ing over lame graffiti, and giving our thoughts on Banksy!

Did not expect such a roast, but I agree. Banksy's art has the same non-profound energy as those "Phone and Video Games BAD !" _We live in a Society_ arguments, very Boomer Facebook Group. Which is a shame, because the visuals are great actually.

I honestly like banksy because of the quality of his art, and it's unique enough to not be as eye rolling or cringe worthy as a boomer Facebook group or what have you.
"He sure is popular with talentless crooks. Wonder why that would be..." Bruh, as if Tupac hasn't had enough shots fired at him 💀

Personally, I think graffiti can be neat if done right. Artistically and message wise. This video made me chuckle alot, made my crappy morning better. Thank you Harry Gold, love your videos!
I don't know about other countries but in Polish cities there are some designated areas where it is legal to spray paint. There's not a lot of them but they exist. They are mostly under bridges or viaducts, at least in Warsaw. Alao I think it's pretty ok to paint on ruined industrial buildings etc. They often look better with the graffiti on them than they did before. I really like when there are nice paintings on the walls of blocks of flats. There are quite a lot of ugly building in Warsaw that have no or close to no windows on their sides so the art is much appreciated.
Did not expect the Banksy rant but I was there for it from the start
There is singing in Tupac songs. Just say you don't like rap. Also, why is my dog barking?

Yeah, it was quite the shock. Going after banksy I had no issue with, but the class contempt seemed too genuine in this one. Like, outside of a "this is just a character I'm doing". Maybe it was intended to be read as such, but the execution leaves me wondering...

@A Blue Fishh He goes after graffiti, rap music, and illegal immigrants all in the same video. All things that are generally associated with people and communities that are struggling financially. To be fair to Harry, I feel like he's trying to be the Jimmy Carr of art channel KZreadrs, savagely roasting the subject of his video in an entertaining way. But yeah, it came off a little heavy-handed on this one. Harry, this ain't it. You have to be an equal opportunity roaster, my guy.

I like the amount of effort you put into your videos, I like the fact that every video has a plot of entertainment and isn’t just limited to the trend itself but I keep running into more politics than I’d expect and really weird lines like the “Talentless crook” thing. It’s obviously your platform, you have the right to say whatever you want I think(?) but some of these things aren’t exactly as agreeable as you make them sound. Idc for anyone to criticize how Tupac’s music is or him in his actions but he obviously stood for something very important and it sounds like you’re scrutinizing others who care about the same values. It sounds like you believe in some pretty weird things, and as a new fan of your work, I’d have rather not found out. TLDR I admire your effort and fell in love with your work at first but with some of the things you’ve said, I’d rather not associate.

@poppythedogofwonders
Жыл бұрын
Yeah same, I always got the vibe from him that he was a really judgmental type of person and by that I mean the type to really look down on you if you like a show he thinks is awful. I still watch his videos but it's always just for the content, never him because he _really_ feels like the type of person I don't want to associate nor interact with. He just doesn't feel like a particularly good person.
@bambimonstahh

YES THANK YOU!!! I agree so much, because Tupac was a person who fought for freedom. Harry's "jokes" or remarks about him make Tupac seem as if he's all just "gangs good, swearing fun, drugs and violence yippee!" Which is not true.
@RaymondoPerson

Simplifying a rapper who positively impacted tons of people this way while admitting you don't even like rap (thus can't really tell the difference between good & bad rap) strikes me as Harry doing the polar opposite of lame PC culture as a "take that" & two wrongs don't really make a right. "Well he did crime" yeah and tons of celebs from light-skinned races did equally as if not more questionable things while still having artistic merit. Regular people who like him are just gonna see it as the other side of the "this creator you like is a toxic mediocre cishet white man" coin. Not trying to shit on him; I think he has excellent aesthetic sense. Just saying this stuff ends up being just as divisive.

You know, im gonna go out on a LONG Limb and say.... i don't think you like Banksy or Graffiti very much LOL 😂
there’s a few ethical wall art projects where I live. I used to walk everyday near a 5-story tall building that had its ENTIRE side painted by this one super cool local artist, and 4 years later I ended up working at an art gallery where that exact artist was renting a room as his workshop.
Dude I love this, you’re goated
Man you make great content, keep it up
I usually really like your videos, but for some of these takes I hope is the satire going over my head. Rappers not being real musicians and only crooks loving them is some real white boomer stuff. The undocumented migrants bit was a bit of an eyebrow raiser. And the, funnily enough, hot take of criticizing Banksy for not being much of a hot taker is a very common opinion. Yes, Banksy art is corny, but he has done thousands of artworks in a lot of different media (Sculptures, installations, performance art, mockumentary, etc.) that even if most of it is shallow, it still admirable the dedication and fun ways that it adapts to the environment where it was made. I don't kow, this video gave me the vibe that all those ironic woke jokes weren't ironic in the first place.

I love this guys videos, but I can't stand this one. I really really love graffiti and although some of this is atrocious. I don't think anything has to be completely original to be deeply meaningful. Especially in the case of Banksy. Being a satirist means you have to make satire of something. If you genuinely think Banksy gives off "I'm 14 and this is deep" vibes, than you are likely being too hateful or critical of his stuff. In my opinion, the more people saying "child labor is bad" the better. Especially if it's in a creative way.
