@@sonicking2570serp belts are one of the easier DIYs anyone could do on their car. Don’t need tons of tools, don’t need to disassemble a crazy amount of stuff. Simple and straight forward. People just scared or simply think cars are more complicated than they actually are. I know because I used to be one of the people that was scared to work on my own cars. Now i do absolutely everything myself thanks to internet school.

😂😂😂😂 excellent for what taking a guess on what could be causing the belt to squeal??? A squealing belt could literally be caused by any pulley in the system that it rides on. A real mechanic would do more diagnosis to figure out exactly which pulley is causing the squeal and then replace that component. If this girl just takes guesses on what her problems are then I guarantee she does a whole lot of extra work and spends a whole lot of extra money that she doesn't need to replacing the wrong parts.

Awesome I own a tundra another cause of squealing is belt mis alignment. They have to be aligned evenly on all the pulleys

So I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla, LE My son who is an enthusiast and kind enough to take this on replaced my alternator for me yesterday yesterday After he replaced it, the motor on my drivers door wasn’t functioning correctly so my window will go down 3/4 of a way and no further and when I hit it it goes up and then immediately comes back down again so I have to inch it Someone suggested that if you charge the battery which he may have done, I wasn’t here to watch it can actually cause panel malfunction But I have a squealing noise periodically that I never had before Now I have a serpentine belt in my trunk. That’s brand new. So it can be replaced but I don’t think he torqued the bolts on the alternator I know he was in a rush He didn’t mark the tensioner bolt, but I tried to line it up with the part that was shiny, making sure it was cranked all the way in And yet I’m still getting Interestingly enough, when he put everything back together and left before I returned, he left the car running originally my check engine light went off, which had been on for quite some time and of course I was throwing codes for all types of things The check engine light went out, but on that same day the check engine light came back on Something is definitely not right and I don’t have money to take the car to Mechanic and make sure that everything is right and if there is some thing that needs to be replaced like a pulley that it will get diagnosed properly Any suggestions?

You can install the serpentine belt wrong on this tundra which will cause a squeak especially upon start up so I would look at the drive belt diagram a couple of times to make sure that it’s routed correctly.
