Fixing A Poorly Mixed Track By One Of My Subscribers - FL Studio 20 Tutorial

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

STPL Sounds - Sample Pack That Keeps Growing
➜ 🔥 Get It Here: stplsounds.com/
In this video I am going to fix a poorly mixed track by one of my subscribers in FL Studio 20. I am not trying to make fun of this producer I am simply trying to help out with some tips and tricks about mixing and he can hopefully learn from this as well. I am not saying I am the best producer out there or I know everything about mixing but I think I have a bit more experience so I can share some useful knowledge on how to make your tracks sound better.
Check out DJ N3utral123r: / @synfang
How to send your track to be featured in one of my videos?
1. Go to File - Export - Zipped Loop Package
2. Send me the zip file along with a mp3 of your project.
3. I'll pick a few people and edit their projects in a video.
4. Send only to this email: itsrsociety@gmail.com

    The kick had the effect "Fade stereo" active. It's to the right of normalize. It went from left to right from start to end of the kick. And since the end of the kick is silent, the right side of the ear wouldnt hear anything.

    @@ArcadeFL I mean, I acknowledge that I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable as you are (and that's kinda why I submitted a track: to see how a pro would've done my track), but NGL, you had a lot more criticism for the track than I anticipated. :/

    @@Synfang Yeah but most of the criticism was aimed at the mixing. I mean I could pretend the mix was good but the truth is that it wasn't. And I am not here to lie. Of course it's all just my opinion :D That being said I hope you can improve it and learn something from this video :) Don't even worry about it though. It's just one song from many that you've made. • @skrawn1342
    @skrawn13424 жыл бұрын

    The first thing I do after selecting a sound is sending it to a track on the master, adding a parametric EQ2 and removing unwanted frequencies. This will really help clean up your sounds. But as you see in the video, If you remove too many frequencies, or not enough, it can still sound bad. Trust your ears more than your eyes, and keep in mind, some sounds might not need any frequencies removed. In time you will get to know what works and what doesnt. There is no secret formula, just many hours of practice.

    Not an expert, maybe a wanna be, but if y'all want to automate volume, or sidechain, please use Fruity Balance. It's just a nuisance that you cannot change the volume fader. For sidechaining, create a sidechain envelope in the playlist, but don't leave it there, rather, put a note in the channel rack and put it under a kick, I'd prefer putting the kick inside the same pattern as the sidechain so you don't have to counter even more nuisance.
