Fixing A Noisy Samsung Dryer!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Video covers how to fix a Samsung dryer that is making weird/loud noises. In the video I show how to replace the idler pulley and drum rollers which can lead to squeaky, grinding, and rumbling noises. The video is applicable to a wide range of Samsung dryers gas or electric the dryer in the video is model number DV45H7000EWA2. This video is part of my series "Free on Facebook" which is a series of videos in which I repair, reuse, and recycle things I find for free.

My dryer has this exact issue and this was the first video I found that actually got to the point. Ordered myself a kit from Amazon. Some kits claim upgraded ball bearings which may or may not be true but was only an extra few dollars so I'll give those a shot.

Thanks for superb video. My Samsung DV45H7000EW/AC was making a very loud grinding screeching noise. The problem was a dry, worn out rear wheel bearing, just as you indicated in the video. Your disassembly and reassembly instructions made my job fast and easy as they matched my model exactly but as you say, it applies to a wide range of Samsung dryers that share a similar mechanical design. All rollers on my unit have plain bearings. They have been lubed as recommended. Parts were obtained locally, over the counter, from a small appliance parts dealer a few minutes from my home. I figure your video saved a $250-300 repair bill. Thanks again!

Great job with the repair! You are right, any appliance repair person would have at least charged $250 for this repair.

I never comment on videos, but wanted to thank you for this! I watched this one time and i was able to complete the repair. It ended up being the bearings in the rollers going out. The whole kit that includes 4 rollers, belt, idler pulley/bracket, and spring I got on Amazon for $35 shipped overnight. This video saved my mother $1000!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I am going to fix my Samsung dryer now and I wouldn't have known exactly what to do without your excellent video. Some videos claim that the blower motor assembly is the cause of the problem, but the noise I hear is consistent with bearings that are going bad and those rollers. Thank you!

My sister's dryer will require a kit about 7 bucks more. But it's ordered and I look forward to tackling it next week. Your video made it so much more direct and to the point. Usually I'll tear into things blind. Still come out with it repaired but videos like this make it sweet and simple, Thanks. My cousin been pushing me to make repair videos. I might make one of my repair. My sister don't trust just everyone to make repairs on her items. Thanks for your video it has proven to be helpful a week before the project. Liked and subscribed 😊

The motor mount bushing was worn on mine. It was the one with a c-clamp on to hold the motor. There is no parts for that replacement, they wanted to sell the entire motor. So ended up cutting a tires rubber and use it as a bushing. 3 years now there is no problem. Those rollers they dont go bad easily. My dryer is 10 years old, with the same model you have it was built 2012. The 2nd problem was the heater core that i replaced last year which cost $12.00. It has long way to live ^_^

My Niece & her Husband, morons lol! And why, I pulled the dryer apart knowing what I would find. Loose change was an understatement. Pulled the drum, you could hear it falling out of the channels of the dryer drum. $40.00 in change; and charge them $120.00 on top of that LOL. I have a SAMSUNG dryer 2009 my self, I changed the belt twice, the rollers doing great. My dryer never look like that with all that dust you had... Dust kills bearings. Good job!

mine started to make a lot of noise when tumbling. Belt was ok and the one roller I could see in the back was ok. It made noise only at certain points in the drum rotation. Removed front cover and found one roller had a flat edge because the roller likely wasn't rolling smoothly. Until the new roller arrives I smoothed out the roller edge and added grease to the shaft and it's quieter that was definitely the problem.

Looks like a lot of work to get at the rollers, but well worth doing so. How much time involved in tearing this dryer apart to replace rollers, and putting the machine back together? Oh and thanks for these videos.

The OEM Samsung parts included in this kit are many, many times more expensive than the kit you used. My original dryer parts lasted about 5-6 years before it started to rumble. In your opinion, are the OEM parts much higher quality? I don't really want to do this again in a year. Thank you for this great video. It is easy to follow along and understand.

I don't think they do it on purpose. I think they just use the cheapest production parts possible. At the end of the day, it has the same effect, appliances that have issues within the first year or two
