So therapeutic to watch your videos @Ents Anyone that hasn't gotten a switch swap done by him I highly recommend him if you are thinking of getting a switch swap done. I got my G Pro X Superlight done with GM 8.0s and I love them.

It's unbelievable how many screws are in there, dang.

My g703 mouse double clicks too, don't think I will be buying another Logitech for a while =( and I loved them too. I still use my mx518 to this day.

Which switches would you say are then best for games that require lots of clicking? I play league of legends and the g403 20ms are a bit too heavy for me. Would omron 50 ms or Kialh 8.0 fit my needs the best?

@@entsfps I heard that the g403 prodigy uses 20ms and the hero version uses 50ms. Is that why the hero version has lighter clicks?

I would like to know from anyone if they did this a while ago and how the switches are holding up? I ordered everything I need + more to do this myself (upgrading feet to hyperglides + tools and soldering gun) I have had this mouse for less than 5 months and left click is already dying. This is third one for me. How are your Kailh GM 8 switches holding up everyone? I'm very curious if they will last longer

Good tutorial, just fucked up circuit socket and mouse landed in the bin.

my scroll wheel click does double click sometimes. im planning on swapping all the switches in the mouse. can i just use a 2 pin square switch like the kailh silent square 7.3mm height as a replacement or is it some special/ propitiatory switch?

i tried to do this on my g703 but i think i messed up the desolding part, you make it look so easy to remove the switch. It took me forever and i think i ended up removing the entire copper ring around the 3 prongs on the circuit board, anyone know a way to fix that or am i screwed?

yeah but in reality all they want is the debounce double click bs from model o software like any logitech "double clicking" issue would not give you more clicks consistently it just is a shit switch when it isnt working right

Nice thanks for the video. i will be doing same replacement later!!.. however there's another problem in my mouse.. mouse1+mouse2 hold/press doesn't work.. individual button works but pressing them simutaneuosly doesnt.. do you have any idea how to fix this or is it related to the switches?

always a sound difference on m1/m2 on an ergo mouse, the clicks and mouse shape is different on each side

How did you get the switch out and new switch in without removing the copper rings? It didnt come out so simply and the ring came off, so I tried the other side too and was extra careful, but the same thing happened. Is it too much heat? Do I need to use desolder?

@@Biggkenny Too much time on the pad then, sometimes not hot enough is worse than a bit hotter as it doesnt liquefy stuff fast enough. Try 350C.

do they feel heavier since Logitech have their metal spring tensioning system?

many mouse bases are now very thin or have holes so applying heat can permanently melt the bottom plate of the mouse

Yeah, that's a shitton of screws, plus you need a soldering iron, and a pair of hands that don't have the gift of f*ckin things up. Such an expensive mouse, it was the last time I've spent this kind of money on one because they clearly are not built to last. Now the problem is, which one to buy...
