    For unemployment: You need to rebuild your offices as there was a bug. And you def need to get your education up. You have such a HUGE deficit of higher education. That is your biggest problem. Yes there’s going to be some upfront costs.

    Here you have some tips for the next episode :) 1 As a quarter of your citizens are highly educated you should create more offices instead of just generic industry, I bet that will fix your unemployament issues. 2 You should also spend some of your research points because they might help with some of the other problems.

    12:30 This made me realize the game needs a map mode that shows the load on city services. For electricity this would be colour shades from bright to dark to show how much of a lines/plants capacity is in use. Just like one would for traffic levels.

    I believe you were on the right track regarding assigning districts to various service buildings. I'd recommend finish establishing your districts first, then leverage that data to redistribute your services (garbage, education, etc). You may want to consider doubling up where appropriate on education in districts to help too. Also, use trees to buffer the sound from the highway. The thicker the tree, the more you can muffle the sound

  • @malacheeese9214
    @malacheeese921415 күн бұрын

    It took me a while to figure this out myself, but when the demand meter says "-unoccupied buildings" it means you have too many zoned areas, in other words, your number of zoned squares for that zoning type is too much and making demand go down, hence the negative sign. Hope that helps

    For noise problem just build sound barriers on all sides of the road. Fo getting more commercial demand - lower taxes for people so they will have more money for leisure. Than you can bump up commercial tax to get more money.

    The unemployment is for your service for the school system and other needed services jobs. And with as slow as the trucks are moving around the map, it be good to set up a central cargo hub in your new industry area that is creating all the absolute needs of the citizens of the city. It be cool to actually know what the city is paying for government employees.

    I would recommend an overhaul of all your public services, particularly your public transportation and education systems. That should hopefully improve the overall quality of life for citizens and then education with the new school assets and transport to provide access to the industrial jobs on the outskirts of town, with the hope of reducing traffic and car dependence that might be stopping people from getting work.

    The abundant homeless people are working in the jobs! Look at the jobs info tab for the total jobs and note that there are few available, then look at the people info which shows that you have fewer people employed than the jobs available these are homeless people working. 1- demolish every office building and let them rebuild which will fix the too few employees bug. 2- there is now a mod that will look for all people who are stuck "looking for housing" and change their status to moving away (some will find a house once the queue is reduced so the AI can catch up.) you will see a big surge of people leaving and moving in to rebalance the jobs and housing. I did this and gained 7k new citizens and had commercial and industrial demand again for the first time since the update. 😊

    Love the progress! For the unemployment issue but low demand for job creation zoning such as industry, offices, commercial etc. I think the problem can be solved with these two changes: firstly your taxes are too high so demand after new zoning bounces back slower than had there been lower taxes for those zones. So reducing taxes to get them developed then ramping up taxes once they are in might be the play. Secondly the international airport from my testing boosted job creation zoning. So if you plop that I think you’ll see more demand. Hope that helps! Excited to see more of Bixton as it grows.

    15:30 or so: well technically people aren't more susceptible to noise, but streets and especially highways just emit more (realistic?) noise. Some other noise values have been adjusted as well, so it's worth looking at the list in patch notes. This doesn't seem like it's a huge difference if it's susceptibility or generation for noise that was changed, but it does matter when considering placing residential next to other (unchanged) noise sources, where the effect should also be unchanged. So it's not necessary to generally keep more distance, just to highways in particular is what I'm trying to say.

    16:20 gotta disagree. Noise pollution from cars, especially on motorways, is just as bad for people in denser neighbourhoods, and are really not something dense neighbourhoods create themselves - car traffic is more something the suburbs create than the actual urban cities, after all. But it could be realistic to have wealthier residents complain at lower noise levels? Poorer people have to put up with is and don't think their voices matter as much so they don't even try to complain.
