Hii.. I've this issue When I plug in my hdd to my laptop Only led light shows, no windows sounds, or no new hardware I've tried with different pc's n usb cables

Out of literally everything on the internet you are the only person who has actually gave me the help I needed

So thankful for this video. Had a Seagate External stop working yesterday morning. Tried this and now it's back from the dead.

hello , i need help..my external hdd power light is not turning on..when i plug in or off, there is windows plug in sound... in disk management it seems as "not initialized " .. when i try to initialize it says incorrect function.. in device manager it only seems as jmicron device (which is probably adapter or sth) what should be the cause? thank you

Hi there! I have 2 pcs of external hard disk with the same brand and same model. Suddenly one of it is not detected and i noticed the light is there when I insert it into the port but the light is not as bright as the other model that work just fine. I know this case is not similar with your video where the light is totally dead, but could this method fix it?

If you have a donor PCB, you can try swapping it and see if the drive will function properly.

I tried another adapter and it’s still not working. Where can be a problem?

Im too scared to open my hard disk i might damage it permanently .. I'm still hoping it can be fixed :(

What is the next option if after changing then Sata adapter card, there is still no power or response from the drive.

Unbelievable! I thought they called it External hard drive because they using different mechanism it it!?!!! I didn't thought it was just normal SATA hard drive with adapter!

my problem is that its not reading my drive i tried everything in the book
