Fixations - Cycling Washington in 24 Hours
A visual ode to the diverse landscapes found across the state of Washington and a reminder that so much in this life is just a bike ride away.
Traveling from Bellingham, WA to Spokane, WA on the scenic route in the summer of 2021, a team of seven challenged themselves to ride their bikes across the state of Washington. The route entailed 346.7 miles of pavement and 16,600ft. of elevation gain. And if it wasn't enough in the first place to let alone just complete the route, they had their eyes set on a sub-24 hour finish.

This video is almost too nonchalant in how it depicts this...this is an absolutely incredible feat. 18.7mph average?! for 346 miles? in one day? woooooow. Also awesome tribute to the beauty of Washington. Great cinematography.

Nice video. Extreme efforts by all. I probably would have been pulled at mile 70. Would love to hear how much fuel (drink types, and foods, and whatever else) each person needed during that. And how often and how much was needed per hour. Anyway, great job and awesome to have a support crew!
