Simple concept but so hard to master. Thank you for the tips.😊
people ask "why split step", not "how split step" great short, will use this for some grease in my janky movement :D
Oh wow! Soooo I've been doing it wrong all these years!?!?! I always landed them at the same time! THX man!
Great tip!! I'm starting to get my split step timing right but wasn't moving very smoothly. This seems to be the solution for it. Thank you 🙏

You’re welcome! We hope it helps 😃
Wow, that makes a huge difference and I had no idea! 🎉
Good observation ☝️
Great tip for meee! I always do split step by landing 2 feet at the same time, wondering why it's hard for me to defense the smash close to the line. Well now i know the reason and how to improve. Thank you for the tip😉✌️
underranted tip. I SMASHED the subscribe button as hard as I could as soon as I could after seeing this :)
Hi just wanted to know as a left handed intermediate player, what is the best side of the court to be on in doubles, amazing videos as always, keep up the great work!
Thank
Brilliant insight thank you!!!

Glad you liked it!
What if in defensive position?
Thank you for the tip 👍
this makes so much sense!
So tough to do this. Not even talking about the order of feet landing but gauging the exact time to do the step split is insanely hard for me
also if you can predict the accurate direction you need to get to, you can position your feet, knees direction directly towards that direction, which allows you to withstand more force on your legs, therefore giving you the opportunity to be faster & be more explosive
So good!!! 👍🏼
Will practice, thnx
Lol i was just figuring out that myself last night... now i see this video... scary

But i figured out left, right landing is good enough for both cases for right handed ppl
Thats a very good tip
For starters, land racket hand side first. Until U can late n shift bodyweight to non master racket leg first. If U can do this, U will be way faster than most club players..then start looking at which foot to land first based on where the shot is going. Few can do cos it requires looks of practice as the timing must be perfect in a very short window.
Love from India❤❤
Please take a look at the japanese concept of "batsuju" (channel: Hoshina Training Studio). What we call a split step, actually exists in martial arts. It's dropping the centre of gravity and stepping towards the opposite direction. Without it, the force would propel us upwards instead
Wow...❤❤❤❤❤
ohh !
Nice, this will be useful cuz I'm slow
You save my ankle :D
useful when anticipating but I don't think this applies for singles defensive situations (after hitting a lift or clear, when your opponent is in a position to smash)
Please write me a training schedule of 3 hours and how many sets to do.
"Or one that's sinking downwards " 😂

Okay this makes sense but I suck lol
