Nice job. I fix a lot of stuff and have the tools. But that’s too much work for these pos ear phones. Mine never have been loud enough from day one. They have the poorest design with inherent flaw filling up with earwax. I wouldn’t buy the latest model they have. They charge way too much money for disposable ear phones. I use Skull Candy Crusher Wireless Full headphones. 40 hour battery life. Adjustable bass that reminds me of cars that rattle from subs. People can’t believe how much bass they have. I’m 62 and I always wore Sony wired studio headphones. And I ain’t never heard bass like these Crushers. 2.5 hours to charge and really 40 hours play time. They also are Dolby Atmos and DTS Headphone X compliant. I laid on them in bed and broke them. They were over 2 years old. I sent them to skull candy to fix. They sent me back a new pair in a new box with all the accessories I didn’t send them for free.

You are recommending full headphones, however the airpods are in-air headphones. Hope you are able to spot the difference in use of any of these. If not then problem lies somewhere else.
