Good solution that totally worked for me. I had the same unwanted extension in Edge and was able to eliminate it there too by following the same procedure you outlined for Chrome.

Worked great!!! My Google browser was hijacked by Yahoo. I spent hours trying to find the malware. I was certain that the problem was "Browser is Managed by your organization" because this is my personal computer. This procedure fixed the problem. THANKS!

Hi,i did all the stepa and the thing is i can see that app but it is currently disabled my chrome,so i am kinda protected, but it is showing me the remove button on the extension when i click on it,it is not being removed??any advice,oh and another thing it is still showing browser is managed but when clicking on that its empty,ur trick worked but app is there
