I've been searching for a solution for weeks, and finally you've helped me! I just had to fix the keyboard settings all along 🤦🏻‍♀ thank you!!

Watching this in June of 2024. Tried all the suggestions but none worked. Restarting just made it flicker 100X more. Thanks for the video! I'm fearing I might have to get a new MBP even though this one is only 3 years old. I appreciate you! More and more, I LOATHE Apple.

thank you so much I completely forgot that I changed the keyboard settings, I had no idea that was what it did in the first place. All the other videos I watched did not include that, some fixes can be so easy instead of going into apple, thank you!!

Awesome, first step worked. I used the touch bar in the morning and must have had wet hands or something and couldn't reposition my screens. Did a shut down and it was fine on reboot.

Today, my touch bar is not showing any icons. I tried all the suggested solutions, but it's still not working. The functions of the touch bar still work, so I think the LCD part might be broken.

Right now my macbook is not showing the touchbar or the control strip in activity monitor OR any option for touch bar in keboard settings! Like it disappeared...

Thanks. I did the last suggestion first and it fixed the problem. I'm thinking one of my 13 younger kids changed the settings without knowing what they did. One happy mumma here 😃

i am having the same issue and apparently, a lot of people are having this issue its fucking pissing me off I'm so angry I spent so much on this laptop I called apple and the guy said it was a software issue wait for the next update the flickering seems to stop when I point my flash at my camera and the touch bar so my guess is that it has something to do with the dim sensor

The touch bar is functional but buttons are not visible. Can you suggest

That was very informative and I tried all of them. Unfortunately, I think my MacBook Pro is in its death spiral. It just keeps toggling through all the touchbar settings as if my machine is possessed. I’m going to try to disable it and see if that helps.

Anyone know how to delete a frequent word appearing on the suggestions. The first three words suggested are She, I, and Potter (I talk about Graham Potter and Chelsea frequently in messages) and now Potter is one of the first three suggested words and I don’t know how to delete it from being one of the first three suggestions

@@danielwood7553 These are all the checks mate. You could try a backup and reset of your Mac. Otherwise Apple might be able to help more. Could be hardware issue. Let me know if you have any luck fixing it.

If it isnt there then it might take a reinstall of MAcOS. I would contact Apple first.

Is there someway to check the view of the monitor? It should be there.

I tried all five options but the darn thing keeps dark and won't show. The buttons do work. Things happen when I touch the TouchBar area. I think it's broke. Running Ventura on a M1 Macbook Pro.
