Microsoft won't help windows users lol...they'll give you the run around and send you to a different site for help... it's a very bad business ethic.... but that's MS... just a horrible corporation..

Ive been trying to fix this for months and after I found this video I tried it and I was surprised to find out that the specify component thing was already enabled, so I disabled it and after that it worked. So try that if the tutorial didnt work since you already had it enabled.

After restarting it says "we couldnt complete the features ..." it should actually work after it goes back to the desktop so ignore that and just wait.

I have 3.5. An application needs it to work I guess. When I try to install it, it says couldn't install this. It is a 237 meg file... I'm lost my error is 0x8024402c.... why do I have to download it when I already have it????

You have to make sure Windows Update is Enabled. Watch this video. It is the only one that worked for me to enable windows update again. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWaX0pacosTSpNI.html
