I drilled a strip of holes down each side and a patch of holes on top right over the heat sink. I use a 48V power supply dialled down to 44V. works great

Why? Just use an aluminium block to connect it to the enclosure cover, this will result in direct heat contact with the cover (enclosure body).

Cool, haven’t seen anyone mod quite that much on a A07 yet. You changed a lot of parts. Did you find the upgrades worth it? Significant improvement in sound quality….? What was the total cost in parts for all of that?

I own four A07s and have found that the "heat dissipation issue," while certainly measurable, presents no problem whatsoever in actual use playing music. I have two in my main system driving my ambience/surround speakers and never even had a benign output chip shutdown. I'm sure your mod will make yours run cooler, of course -- but, at least in my experience, it's a solution in search of a problem.

Hi. In where i live, room temp about 29-30*C at summer, so my a07 has been shutdown 2 time even it does not play too loud

U bet....have never faced any shutdown like that even if the amp got heated ,which by the way is not much at all compared to few others. Offcourse driving it always like pedal to the metal would increase the temp way higher. Totally fine to see the mod and it surely does help in avoiding extreme heat.

@@editorjuno Hey, does your receiver’s Amp have better sound than the Aiyma 07? I will soon buy an Marantz Cinema 40, and I don’t know if i buy 2 Aiyma 07 for the front LR and center, or for the surround and surround back… What do you think will give me better sound? Thank you in advance

Hi thank you for showing your very valuable modification If I understand well the copper plate is in contact with the chip below and the heat sink above? How please Have you considered a little heat sink with fan? Kind regards Gino

Hi. There are no copper plate between the chip and heatsink. The aluminium direct contact to chip’s powerPad. If i not wrong, in new version A07, aiyima has upgrade bigger heatsink I don't like fan noise so I wouldn't appreciate that option.

I do believe this mod is a waste of time&money chips are made to run at their specific temp range in order for them to be efficient. The chips in your PC or phone are always hot they are meant to be. My a07 runs a good 12hrs a day for months now and it's still going.

Chips perform worse and are less efficient the hotter they get. No they are not "meant" to be hot. They are just "allowed" to be hot, because cooling them better requires bigger heatsinks, which adds cost and makes them bigger and heavier.

My A07 has never registered so much as even slightly warm to the touch. What kind of use do others see that causes a heating issue?
