@@gg_ez69lol63 There are, but theyre internal batteries from factory, meaning that to replace them, you have to take apart the controller, and if you have a warranty, that voids it. You can probably buy third party controllers with removable batteries tho

Blowing into the crevice between the joystick and the controller panel can also help, dirt gets stuck sometimes

@@justjake4380 most moisture that gets in your controller will evaporate, thats why people use isopropyl it evaporates quickly, as long as you arent using water or other liquids you should be ok, but am air duster would work aswell yes

Do NOT blow in to controllers. My oldest DS4 controller literally doesn't work anymore because I blew in it too much. Rust formed on the inside making it unrepairable. The only reliable fix is to open it up and clean the sensors with alcohol.

Its almost as if KZread algorithm is stalking me

@@spicypickle2185 I doubt that it actually did something... Unless the sticks where completely grimey and sticky. Idk you would have had to spill coke or something into your controller for this to even possibly do something. The drift is caused by worn out carbon contracts which are under the plastic stick. The alcohol won't even get there if you just spray it on top of it. And even if it did, you can't fix that by cleaning it.

I did that, I've taken many controllers and my old ps4 apart many times, now I'm gonna blast it with my pc air pressure

Perfect timing because now all of my controllers except for my joy-cons have drift

Better to use a Q-Tip and Isopropyl so you can control where the alcohol goes in just one area, tilt the joystick in all directions and make sure it’s not a giant drop so you dont fry anything under the joystick or the joysticks connectors in general.

You likely got hair or debris in the sticks. This is always what happened when I experienced stick drift. By cleaning it out I kept the same controller for 7+ years before some other issue took it.

Best fix honestly requires the disassembly of the controller, i fix these daily and most of the time it’s just dust and gunk inside of the Potentiometers on the joystick. I unsnap them from the assembly and take the black contactor out and clean it with 91% isopropyl alcohol. And then the same with the inside of the potentiometer housing. I use cotton swabs to get in there and scrub with the alcohol. This usually fixes the issue. The last 8 controllers that had drift I fixed with this method.

I did that with a drifting controller and it just ended up drifting again, only real fix was to replace the potentiometer entirely. Maybe your controllers were only dirty though.

This works for when you get something sticky in your controller as well. Except you might have to do it a few times depending on how sticky your controller is.

I had a drifting stick on my dualshock, but instead of using alchohol I used VD-40 and even now after 4 years it works good :D

@@burton8426 yeah those elite series controllers are notorious for breaking easily and faster than normal. I love Xbox but the elite series is nothing but a flex literally a waste of money.. until they actually innovate this time and give us a damn gyroscope and gyro aiming to compete with the keyboard and mouse players.. now THAT would be worthy of the Elite title. Even the switch pro controller has better specs and supports gyro function for better aim than any xbox controller.

Hey, uhhhh, for some odd reason the right trigger on my Xbox one controller has started randomly spamming inputs at like 90 inputs a second, and after taking the side plates of the handles and pulling up on the trigger it will make a click/popping noise. Do you have any idea of what might be causing this? Reason I want to fix instead of getting a new one is because I'm just used to it.

I have that same controller down to the colour and this worked like a dream

for anyone who this didn’t word for, you can get a can of wd40 contact cleaner and spray it in the stick and it dissolves and cleans the stick which helps a ton.

Once I heard "zappy zappy" I knew he was legit

My friend has stick drift so this comes in handy
