Most of us actually do want the GPU to be used instead of iGPU because the dGPU is faster

For browsing iGPUs are fast enough. Dedicated GPUs will drain your battery and also the fan keeps on spining

@@TechTweek My Surface Book 2 i7 13" is over heating on the iGPU only, while trading for 5-6 hours on different tabs in chrome and it starts lagging, mostly due to overheating. My setting is already on integrated graphics. Do you think I should try using the nVidia High performance processor or will it make it hotter and lag more?

Try reselecting iGPU for Chrome.

there ia bug with Chrome, Optimus and multi-monitor setups when dedicated GPU is used; this is so ridiculous than when I move the Chrome's withdow from the laptop monitor (or my external tunderbolt monitor - anything connected to iGUP) to the monitor connected directly to the dGPU, the dGPU usage decreases from 90% to 10%! so yeah; useful video.

1:30 is when the fun starts

I wanted it this way; so my dedicated GPU isn't stressed during gaming. Thanks for the tips.

Greetings sir hope you doing well. Actually from back few days I'm facing a issue with my gpu. When I open chrome my gpu usage goes 100%-95% constantly. I tried many ways and even tried ur way but it still same. And gpu usage even go high as 80%-100% when I go in active for 2-3 min. Please help me with this issue. It's so annoying cuz when I want to use chrome fan gets mad speed and laptop get shut down automatically due to this. Thanks.

Make sure to check your extension, there might be some shady extensions sucking your GPUs soul out. 🥲

For the last 2 days my chrome can't open close auto without open when I open chrome using terminal it showing this error message MESA-INTEL: warning: Haswell Vulkan support is incomplete [18736:18736:1020/003635.649572:ERROR:gpu_process_host.cc(990)] GPU process exited unexpectedly: exit_code=133 How can I fix the issue? Kindly please help me to fix.

my system is using gpu 1 copy as seen in task manager and processor is running at high speed continuously .. What to do. How to stop it? mine is AMD gpu

@@TechTweek i tried man and i have a gforce driver but there is no option called "Select the preferred graphic processor for the programme any idea what to do now?" "gtx 950 " is my graphics card , when i try to watch something in youtube in crome , its start using 100 percent gpu , it also happens when i am in a meeting with some one in zoom and they started sharing screen my gpu just jumps to 100 percent , man you have to help cant find any solution over internet
