TFW you realise it's Update S-port and not Sport 😭

I’m a beginner who doesn’t have a lot of money for and expensive controller, I went through this process with little knowledge about quads and it was super simple and definitely a lot cheaper than the transmitter I would have to buy. Great video helped a lot.

I was struggling with my receivers until I stumbled on the Reddit post. Amazon delivered the FTDI reader yesterday and I found your video today when I was googling the Reddit post for guidance. Thank you man you are a life saver! My MPM binds with the receivers now! Can't express how grateful I am!

I struggled a lot with the process but figured out you might have to update your FTDI drivers on windows else the chip can show up as an unknown device or something else after updating the drivers everything worked like a charm thanks a lot for this video !!!

​ @NEON AIRSHIP After almost giving up, I tried again using the Arduino Nano and It worked! The Arduino Nano FTDI TX/RX labels are inverted on the board, since they are the atmega processor rx/tx connected to the ftdi. I Also had to update the BetaFPV LiteRadio 2 SE to LiteRadio_2_SE_Frsky_1_9_Mode 2.bin version following the post on reddit. Thank you for this video, it helped a lot!

Месяц назад купил cetus pro, и несмотря на то что я немного летал в квартире, потому что у нас сейчас зима, очень холодно и много снега, я уже понимаю, что этот дрон всего-лишь баловство и мне нужно что-то посерьёзнее, может даже для съёмки видео с воздуха. Чтобы сэкономить деньги ищу betafpv 95x по объявлениям, и тут выясняется что к дрону нужно докупать приёмник, подходящий xm+ может не работать, хотя вроде должен, что его нужно прошивать хитрым образом с паяльником и заклинаниями. Боже, ещё 2 месяца назад я просто наткнулся на видео с fpv, посчитал это прикольным и решил попробовать. Спасибо тому чуваку с reddit и вам за эти инструкции, которыми я воспользуюсь в будущем:)

I don’t know how to get the right comport for the tdi thing or file over for it to read the receiver once plugging it in? Any suggestions or what file might I have missed from frsky sport

Not for me and I haven't seen anyone eles get it to. I did get the programmer and the resistor and make it work. Real not hard with the video.

HI i had a question. If i but the xm+ receiver from beta fpv will that fix the problem becaus the beta fpv version comes with ACCST V1 firmware and not v2 and if im correct v1 is supported right?

I had Radiolite2SE frsky from Cetuspro rtf kit, the problem is the Rudder left stick, keep curving. And i dont like that, when using ived tried 1.0.0 bin and flash them it seem didnt change the settings ,could you help ?

Hi. Recently i bought Pavo 30 and Literadio 2(not se) and i cant bind them. But pavo 30 is used. And after i power drone, xm+ starts to blink green, and when i long press bind button and power drone it's solid green.(but everyone has red) Guy who sold me that drone told that he binded it with his taranis qx7 successfully, but i dont asked him about firmware version on xm+. So what should i do? Can i just change firmware on literadio 2? Thats my first fpv drone after 8 mounths practicing in simulators, and because of these problems i really want to quit fpv.... Can you say what should i do, cause i really like fpv for those cinematic shots, but those problems... sorry for bad english, im from Russia)))

Unfortunately I had no success with this to flash my Xm+… I did everything according to the video, but nothing. I used a similar serial adapter, that uses the same chip FTDI FT232R. Inverted the signals, wired properly, but doesn’t worked to me. Should I try a different adapter or no chance without a taranis ?

I have the same problem can u help?

Is this working Or outdated Tutorial now ? Should i buy the betafpv literadio 3 to Bind with the xm+ ?? This should work with Frsky xm + but it islittle more expansive as the lite se 2 radio ….. im flying the dji Fpv combo but i want to Make my Own drone with the caddx Vista polarlight camera…. And with the LEss Money Radio….

I have the lite radio 3 and recently got the xm+. After updating the firmware to everyone it wouldn’t connect. Evan with an external frsky module.

AWEE wtf I knew it was too good to be true...wtf. I can't even use this pos on my computer as a joystick for some reason. What receivers is it compatible with?

Does it also work with an arduino nano?

@@NEONAIRSHIP I bought a crappy FTDI adapter that can't be programmed (invert RS232 TX/RX) and I cannot find a genuine to buy in my country. I'm trying to use the arduino nano without success. I can invert TX/RX on the arduino nano, but it the frsky updater is not detecting the receiver when I power it on. =/

I think that depends on the receiver firmware, unfortunately it can be kinda hard to tell what it shipped with

Depends on the flight controller, usually needs a battery in my experience

For all the things i have to buy to do this, i will go the cheaper way and just buy a new radio. This is to much of a hassle. I dont even have a soldering iron.

This seems like a lot of work, I think I may just purchase a new transmitter
